Top five stars in danger of missing WWE Royal Rumble 2025

Royal Rumble 2025 will be the first Premium Live Event of the year for the company.

The road to WWE’s premier event, WrestleMania 41, is set to begin with the first Premium Live Event of 2025, the Royal Rumble. The event will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis, on February 1 and is expected to be a stellar show like every year.

The show is set to feature a star-studded line-up of top WWE superstars, as announced on RAW and SmackDown in recent weeks. However, there are a few top-tier WWE stars who are almost on the verge of missing this big show of 2025. Here are the top five WWE superstars who could possibly miss the Royal Rumble event next month:

5. Asuka

Asuka is one of the top fixtures in the WWE women’s division. The Empress of Tomorrow has been out of action with a knee injury since May 2024. Moreover, she has kept a low profile about her recovery, with no reports regarding his return timeline. This makes it a possibility that Asuka might not be featured at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble event.

4. Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill made her WWE debut at last year’s Royal Rumble event. However, she might not be able to make it for this year’s show. In December 2024, Jade Cargill was mysteriously found attacked and left lying at the top of a car windshield on SmackDown. Since then, Cargill has been absent and could very well miss the WWE Royal Rumble event this year.

3. Becky Lynch

The Man, Becky Lynch, has been on a hiatus ever since her last match with Liv Morgan in May 2024. Despite being heavily a part of the RAW on Netflix promotional activities, Lynch did not make her return to WWE at RAW’s debut episode on Netflix. This could very well be a possibility that ‘The Man’ does not come around to the 2025 Royal Rumble event and miss the show.

2. Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been off WWE television programming since being attacked by Kevin Owens on SmackDown. ‘The Viper’ has not been heard or seen since that night, and there is a likely chance that Orton will not be a part of the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event.

1. AJ Styles

AJ Styles returned to WWE following a hiatus in October 2024. However, on his first night back, Styles injured his ankle, which put him on the sidelines again. Moreover, Styles tweeted recently that his injury has been challenging. This could mean that AJ Styles might not be cleared till the Royal Rumble event this year and miss one of the biggest events of 2025.
