WWE might have big plans for some rising stars for SummerSlam 2026.
WWE had announced the 2026 edition of SummerSlam two years ago to take place at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Moreover, the Stamford-based promotion has already started promoting the two-night summer spectacle that will happen on August 1 and 2.
With recent developments and storylines, here are five WWE superstars who might be quietly planned for a major match at SummerSlam 2026:
5. Trick Williams
Trick Williams has made a huge impact after joining the WWE main roster and winning the United States title at WrestleMania 42. With Whoop That Trick chants getting louder amid his regular presence on SmackDown, Williams could be planned for a huge match at one of the nights of SummerSlam 2026.

4. Je’Von Evans
Je’Von Evans has made significant strides in his early 20s, including a successful NXT tenure and becoming part of Monday Night RAW this year.
Moreover, he recently scored a big win in the King of the Ring tournament, and his ongoing booking suggests Evans could be slated for a big match at SummerSlam this year.
3. Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker is slowly starting to regain momentum after missing the buildup to WrestleMania 42. With The Unpredictible Badass a top prospect and despite going back and forth in matches against a top star like Seth Rollins, their rivalry seems far from over.

The Ruler is a top fixture on the red brand, and his rise to the top could lead him to SummerSlam 2026 for a blockbuster showdown against a marquee star. A major title showdown has also been hinted at by WWE, which might transpire at the biggest party of the summer.
