Top five stars Randy Orton can recruit & bring back Evolution faction on WWE SmackDown

Randy Orton might form his own new faction on SmackDown.

Randy Orton has unleashed his most vicious side on WWE SmackDown on the road to WrestleMania 42. He has decimated Cody Rhodes, who he will face for the Undisputed WWE Championship at The Show of Shows.

Moreover, his recent antics and mysterious phone calls seem to hint that Orton is forming a new faction, like his previous one, Evolution. Should that happen, here are the top five names Orton could recruit:

5. Trick Williams

Trick Williams has captivated audiences with his personality and spectacular presence in the ring. With the hunger to succeed and getting loud pops each week on SmackDown, Williams could side with a legend like Randy Orton to be a part of the main storyline on the blue brand.

4. The Wyatt Sicks

Randy Orton was once part of the original Wyatt Family, led by the late Bray Wyatt. With his brother, Uncle Howdy, leading the charge of the secoming of his brother’s stable, Orton could rekindle his old roots and have The Wyatt Sicks unit align with him on the road to WrestleMania 42.

3. Matt Cardona

Apart from Cody Rhodes, another superstar who was on the receiving end of a vicious beatdown at the hands of Randy Orton was Matt Cardona. The Indy God, realising that he would be able to stop The Viper, could instead betray his friend Cody and join Orton in his new faction, signaling a major heel turn.

2. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes has been able to garner significant success as a rising superstar on SmackDown. This makes the reigning WWE United States Champion a top candidate for Randy Orton to recruit to his faction.

Moreover, Melo could himself benefit from aligning with Orton and reverting back to being a heel, a role that brought him immense success during his time as an NXT superstar.

1. Ted Dibiase Jr.

Ted DiBiase, alongside Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, was part of Orton’s Legacy faction in WWE during the late 2000s. The second-generation star was recently found not guilty in a court case related to the misuse of finances that had made significant headlines.

With his name cleared, Orton could bring back DiBiase as part of his stable, adding a nostalgic yet interesting twist to his feud with Rhodes on the road to WrestleMania 42.
