Top four WWE stars who could lose their titles at WrestleMania 40

WWE is just weeks away from hosting the greatest professional wrestling event of all time, WrestleMania 40 and fans are getting hyped with some of the impressive bookings.

WWE has been promoting this as the biggest WrestleMania of all time and is expected to be coming out with some of the greatest matches. Talking about matches, the match cards are built in a way where a number of top stars are in danger of losing their titles. Here are some of the WWE stars who are in danger of losing at WrestleMania 40.

IYO SKY

IYO SKY has been the WWE Women’s Champion for more than 220 days. She won the title with the help of the former Damage CTRL leader Bayley, by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract. Although SKY made an impressive cash-in, she didn’t have an impressive run, with very few championship defences.

SKY is in high danger of losing her WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40, where she will defend it against her former leader, Bayley. It would make Bayley a big babyface champion and would mark a career re-defining moment of her career.

Gunther

Gunther dethroned Ricochet to become the Intercontinental Champion and has been impressive throughout his run. He is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of the company with his 630 days reign. Although The Ring General has dominated the main roster with his mightier run, it seems like he could lose at WrestleMania 40.

Last year, Gunther pulled out a potential match of the year, by successfully defending his title, however this year the chances of him losing is high. Chad Gable could possibly dethrone Gunther for the Intercontinental title, as he already defeated Gunther in the singles match and also took him to the limit of losing the title.

Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley won the title last year at WrestleMania 39 and became the dominant and leveraged champion of the company. Ripley, although being one of the toughest stars to beat, hasn’t defended her championship so often. Ripley will be facing Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 and has a high chance of losing her title. Although, both never faced each other before, there isn’t a bigger star than Becky Lynch to dethrone her. 

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was at the peak of his career for almost three and a half years and dominating the main roster. Last year, Roman Reigns came so close to losing his title at WrestleMania 39, but Solo Sikoa saved him. This year, Cody has some back-ups with him to counter The Bloodline interference and help him win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Considering the situation, The Tribal Chief is at great risk, if they lose the tag team title match on Night 1, where no Bloodline members will be on the main event during the championship defense.
