The WWE Hall of Famer has been named the Grand Marshall for the 2025 Mint 400.

Stone Cold Steve Austin recently sat down with The Schmo on the Las Vegas Strip, where he shared his thoughts on John Cena’s shocking heel turn and provided an update on his plans for WrestleMania 41. The interview occurred as Austin prepared to serve as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 Mint 400.

The G.O.A.T. of pro wrestling, John Cena, recently turned heel after winning the men’s Elimination Chamber PLE and aligned with The Rock to batter the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Cena is now set to battle Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 41 in April.

Speaking on The Schmo, Austin reflected on Cena’s heel turn was bound to happen, but questioned whether fans would fully embrace the character change.

“It had to happen sooner or later. Finally it happened. So it’ll be interesting to see, you know, whether the people accept him as a heel or has he turned himself more babyface.

I think it remains to be seen as the story unfolds. Nonetheless, they’ve kicked off an epic build into WrestleMania. And that’s what they do every single year. And this year it’s here in Las Vegas, so it’s going to be pretty damn awesome.” Stone Cold said.

When asked if he would be helping Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania against the alliance of The Rock and Cena, Austin stated that he has not been in contact with anyone and teased that anything could happen at the grandest stage. Austin further expressed his excitement for the Mint 400 and said that his focus is on the Mint 400 rather than WrestleMania.

“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anthing could happen! But I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on, I’m not looking to the Mania, I’m looking to Mint 400” Austin added.

The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will battle the 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena at the 41st edition of the Mania PLE. While Rhodes is looking for a historic title defense, Cena is looking to win and break the tie with Ric Flair to become the 17-time WWE World Champion.

Four titles will be on the line at the grandest stage in April

The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place over two nights on April 19 and 20, 2025. The massive event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.

Apart from the Undisputed title, the World Heavyweight title will be on the line as Gunther will defend his title against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will defend her title against Charlotte Flair.

Furthermore, the newly crowned Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky will put her title on the line against the 2025 women’s Elimination Chamber match winner Bianca Belair.
