Storylines heat up on Raw as WrestleMania 41 approaches!
The April 07 episode of Monday Night Raw is set to air live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. This will be the first episode of the Red brand back from the Road to WrestleMania Europe tour, which saw three back-to-back heated segments between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and John Cena.
A Women’s Intercontinental title clash has been announced for the show, along with an appearance from, ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins. El Grande Americano will be in action as Chad Gable is unable to compete in his hometown due to illness.
Ahead of the show in the Target Center, Minneapolis, here are the top five storylines to keep an eye on in this week’s WWE Raw.
5. El Grande Americano
El Grande Americano will return to action on the 04/07 show as Chad Gable is unable to compete in his hometown and has a doctor’s note saying so which is why General Manager Adam Pearce has replaced him with Americano for the show in Minneapolis. However, his opponent has not yet been announced and it will be interesting to see if the promotion reveals his identity ahead of the Mania PLE.

4. Women’s Intercontinental Championship
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria is set to defend the title against Bayley, Valkyria herself wanted the match as she looks to take back the only loss since her title reign began. The match would be interesting as the promotion has already been announced the two as a tag team in the Women’s Gauntlet match on the 04/04 episode of SmackDown.
3. Intercontinental Championship
On last week’s show in London, Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio) were able to defeat the team of Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker and Penta, Balor became the first person to pin Penta who is still undefeated in a singles match. With reports of a title clash involving the four stars, it will be interesting to see how this storyline progresses on this week’s show.
2. Women’s World Championship
Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky defended the title against Rhea Ripley, last week with Bianca Belair as the special guest referee. However, the match ended in a double DQ as Belair was irked after being attacked twice, this DQ further angered Ripley who battered both Sky and Belair. While there were reports of a triple threat, the promotion has continued to slow-cook the feud and this week’s show might feature the announcement.
1. Jey Uso wants revenge
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther last week defeated Jimmy Uso in a singles match, but what happened next shocked everyone as Gunther not only ambushed Jey Uso as he came to rescue Jimmy after the match but tied Jey to the ropes and battered his big brother in front of him, leaving Jimmy covered in his own blood as Jey watched helplessly.
Jey will likely be out for blood this week as he would likely attack Gunther, as last week’s attack has made his feud even more personal and interesting, especially for fans.
How will Jey Uso react following last week’s vicious attack on Jimmy? Who do you think will win in the Women’s IC title match? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
