Top five storylines to watch out for on WWE SmackDown tonight (March 28, 2025)

The WrestleMania 41 triple-threat match will be made official tonight on SmackDown!

WWE is all set to deliver the final SmackDown of the European tour ahead of the WrestleMania PLE. Tonight’s show of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the iconic O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

The promotion has announced some major matches where titles hang in balance, and a colossal triple threat match contract signing for the WrestleMania PLE is also set for the show. Multiple appearances from big stars are set for the show including CM Punk, Roman Reigns, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Seth Rollins.

Ahead of the show tonight in London, here are the top five storylines that fans need to watch out for on the 03/28 show of WWE SmackDown.

5. WWE Tag Team titles

The newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) are set to defend the titles against the number one contenders Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince). While the clash will determine if the Champions are here to stay, the imminent threat of outside interference is also a concern for both tag teams.

4. United States Championship

United States Champion LA Knight is set to defend the title against the number one contender Braun Strowman who defeated Jacob Fatu last week via DQ to punch his ticket for the title match. It will be intriguing to see how Knight fends off a challenger who is immovable as well as a potential interference from Jacob Fatu.

3. Drew McIntyre – Damian Priest

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest are locked in a fierce feud that has reached its boiling point following last week’s assault where McIntyre battered Priest and vowed to make his life miserable, this feud will likely culminate in a clash at the WrestleMania 41 PLE.

2. WWE Women’s Championship

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is set to defend the title against the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble match Charlotte Flair at the grandest stage next month and as expected the animosity between the two has been brewing with their side-by-side interaction last week, things will only escalate tonight likely ending up in another brawl.

A contract signing between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins has been announced for the show, as the three stars will sign the agreement for their triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41. The bad blood between the three stars goes back years which has made the feud very personal and another feud might be what is waiting for them tonight at the O2 Arena.
