Top five storylines WWE can build on Raw (August 05, 2024)

The 08/05 Raw could be filled with a lot of grudges and betrayals

WWE is all set to host the August 05, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw live from the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. This is the 2024 SummerSlam fallout episode and the show is expected to be filled with a lot of payback for what happened at SummerSlam.

WWE booked some of the exciting matches and segments for the show. Here we take a look at the top five storylines WWE can build on this week’s WWE Raw.

5. Nobody is safe with Wyatt Sicks in the house

The 2024 SummerSlam has witnessed several betrayals, especially from the Raw brand. The main agenda of the Wyatt Sicks is to stand for the voiceless, who betrayed their team members. However, Wyatts could begin a storyline with Judgment Day, as Balor & Dominik dumped Priest and Ripley in the process. Last week, the horror faction’s sign was also placed behind Dakota Kai, maybe she could fall victim to Abby The Witch.

4. Xavier Woods leaving The New Day

Karrion Kross has been asking Xavier Woods to join the Final Testament for a very long time, however, Woods has been neglecting the offer. One of the main reasons for Woods to not accept the offer is because of the New Day. The last two weeks were a hell of a ride for Woods, with not having Kofi on his side.

At this stage, Kofi will make his return this week. If Kofi’s return didn’t favor Woods at any cost and if the results remained the same, Woods would leave the New Day to join the Final Testament.

3. Gunther’s new beginning

Gunther will officially begin his World Heavyweight Championship reign from this Monday Night on Raw. The Ring General at the post-show made it clear that anybody who thinks that they can dethrone him for the title can step in, as he is ready for the challenge.

Gunther will likely be confronted by either Sami Zayn or Ilja Dragunov, as both are the ones who already defeated The Ring General in the past. Either of them will be the first challenger for the title at Bash in Berlin.

2. CM Punk vs Seth Rollins

At SummerSlam, CM Punk delivered a GTS to the referee Seth Rollins, which backfired him, as Drew completely used it in his favor to win the match. Rollins was extremely angry from Punk’s attack and walked backstage as soon as the match ended. Both have a lot of things between them even before the match. This Monday, Rollins could brawl with Punk and will officially begin their feud. 

1. Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley’s revenge

At SummerSlam 2024, Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor betrayed Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley, by costing their title match. This made both Ripley & Priest angry with them. Priest and Ripley will officially begin a rivalry with Balor, Mysterio and the rest of the members of Judgment Day, seeking revenge from this week on Raw.
