All superstars confirmed for WWE NXT Heatwave 2025; Oba Femi, Blake Monroe, Chelsea Green & more

Former US Champion Chelsea Green will battle in a mixed tag match this Sunday!

The developmental brand has arrived in Massachusetts to deliver the 11th edition of WWE NXT Heatwave, which is set to take place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The show will feature top stars and Champions from NXT as well as TNA, as part of their working agreement. Former Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green from the SmackDown roster is also set to compete on the show.

The 2025 edition is the first Heatwave to use the WWE logo solely, and is also the first Heatwave event to be broadcast on Netflix. The 2025 edition is set to go head-to-head with Forbidden Door, which is set to take place at The O2 Arena in London, England, on the same day.

After making her NXT debut, Blake Monroe aligned herself with Jordynne Grace and even supported her during her NXT Women’s Title match against Jacy Jayne at Evolution 2. However, Monroe turned on Grace, attacking her with the championship belt and costing her the match, allowing Jayne to retain the title.

Since then, Grace has been determined to get revenge. The two are now set to settle their rivalry this Sunday. Je’Von Evans and TNA World Champion Trick Williams locked horns on the August 19 episode of WWE NXT to determine the number one contender for the NXT title. Evans emerged victorious in the match and will face the current Champion, Oba Femi, on August 24 for the NXT Championship.

Following consecutive attacks by the DarkState faction (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James), NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) called for a match against any members of the group. The champions are now set to defend their titles against two DarkState members at NXT Heatwave.

Furthermore, TNA Knockouts World Champion & NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne will defend the TNA Knockouts World title in a triple-threat match against Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich.

On the other hand, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice will clash in a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.

A mixed tag team involving the team of Chelsea Green and NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, who will take on the team of Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights, has also been announced for the show.
