The Backlash go-home show carries huge anticipation!

The May 05 episode of Monday Night Raw will serve as the go-home for the upcoming Backlash PLE and is set to air live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Superstars scheduled to perform at the PLE will meet for the final time before their clash on May 10.

The 2025 edition of the Backlash PLE is set for May 10 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the go-home show this week.

The newly formed faction of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman are set to deliver a message to the WWE Universe this week. This was after they decimated Sami Zayn last week, as Zayn refused to fall in line and accept Rollins’ offer of leaving Raw and joining SmackDown along with an Unidsputed title shot.

After weeks of tensions, Penta and Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh will battle in a singles match. This will be McDonagh’s second match since his return last month and his first singles match on Raw this year.

The recent tensions between the two arose when McDonagh made his return during the IC title clash between Dominik Mysterio and Penta, where JD helped his stablemate, Dominik, to retain the title. Penta returned the favor and interfered in last week’s tag team match involving McDonagh.

On this week’s show, fans will also witness the much-anticipated return of Rusev to in-ring action as he faces Otis in a singles match. This encounter marks Rusev’s second match since his departure from AEW and his first televised WWE match since 2020.

Following their confrontation, which ended up in a brawl, Becky Lynch is set to call out Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria ahead of their title clash at Backlash. Additionally, Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky will battle Roxanne Perez in a singles match.
