Top three superstars who should be Bron Breakker’s next opponent for the IC title

Bron Breakker is the reigning Intercontinental Champion on his first reign

Bron Breakker won the Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn on his second attempt at SummerSlam 2024. The Genetic Freak successfully defended his title against Zayn on his first title defense and is now on a fresh start for his title reign.

On the August 19, 2024 episode of WWE Raw, Breaker announced that Adam pearce has made a #1 Contender’s tournament starting from next week to find the next challenger for his IC title. At this stage, here we take a look at who will be Bron Breakker’s next opponent.

3. Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed is on a rampage and has been taking down everyone who steps in front of him. He took on Seth Rollins, The Miz & R-Truth in the last few weeks with the Tsunamis. Reed is unsettled yet and seems like he wanted something from Adam Pearce. 

Earlier this year, Reed was chasing the Intercontinental Championship, but was unsuccessful on his attempts, and was sent to the back of the line. Reed could be trying to prove that he is above all the other contenders, to bypass the line to the top for a title match.

As the tournament is being announced for the upcoming weeks, Reed could enter the tournament and dominate every other opponent on his way and could become the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship. This could continue Reed’s momentum and could be a tough contest for the title.

2. Jey Uso

After Breakker revealed about the upcoming #1 Contender’s tournament for the IC title, Jey Uso addressed it and announced himself for the tournament. Jey cut a promo saying that he could soon be the Intercontinental Champion by winning the tournament and defeating Bron.

Jey already became the favorite for the tournament and with the advice of Sami Zayn, attaining the singles championship seems easier than before. Jey already came so close to winning the IC title by dethroning Gunther, however it got screwed by external interference. All these makes Jey the potential next opponent for Breakker’s IC title.

1. Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov already has an ongoing storyline rivalry with Bron Breakker for more than a month & they haven’t settled their rivalry yet. It is important to note that Breakker became the #1 Contender by defeating Dragunov and went on to win the IC title from Sami Zayn. In the upcoming #1 Contender’s tournament, Dragunov could outplay their opponents and could come for revenge on Bron Breakker, by dethroning him for the IC title.
