Some top WWE superstars are set to miss the upcoming WWE PLE WWE Clash in Paris 2025

WWE is gearing up for a monumental weekend in France with its latest premium live event, Clash in Paris 2025. The company will host SmackDown on August 29, Clash in Paris on August 31, and wrap up its French tour with Raw on September 1.

The Paris La Défense Arena will witness some of the biggest names in wrestling, but not everyone from WWE’s roster will be making the trip.

The show is already stacked with marquee bouts, including Seth Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso, CM Punk, and LA Knight in a high-stakes Fatal Four-Way.

John Cena will also lace up his boots for his first and only pay-per-view match in France before retirement. Yet, fans hoping to see certain megastars could be left disappointed.

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes, fresh off his SummerSlam victory over John Cena, is set to miss the event. The Undisputed WWE Champion is expected to stay out of action until his Wrestlepalooza clash with Drew McIntyre.

His absence removes one of WWE’s top babyfaces from the French spotlight, but his looming title defense ensures fans won’t wait long to see him back.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen since SummerSlam 2025 and won’t be part of Clash in Paris. The Beast Incarnate has instead been lined up for a September return on SmackDown, leading into his blockbuster showdown with John Cena at Wrestlepalooza.

Given his part-time schedule, Lesnar’s absence isn’t surprising, but his presence in Paris would have elevated the already loaded card.

Randy Orton

Randy Orton, who recently returned to the company on last week’s show of WWE SmackDown, won’t be competing in Paris either. Orton was last seen teaming with Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, but he is not scheduled for the Clash card. Fans will have to wait until later in the fall for his next big appearance.
