The 8/19 episode of WWE Raw could be filled with several surprises

WWE is all set to host the August 19, 2024 episode of WWE Raw live from the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, United States. With just two weeks away from Bash in Berlin, WWE has booked some of the interesting matches and segments for the show.

With just hours away from the show, here we take a look at the top five surprises WWE could have in store for this week’s WWE Raw.

5. Xavier Woods leaves New Day

The New Day has been a successful faction for more than a decade and the bond has been unbreakable over the years. However, Karrion Kross has been trying to break it by taking Xavier Woods away from the faction. The things within the New Day started to heat up after the arrival of Odyssey Jones.

Woods seems like he is not a fan of Jones and has been reacting weirdly. At this stage, the New Day will team up with Jones and take on the Final Testament. At this stage, Woods could turn on Jones and leave the New Day.

4. Title change

The Women’s Tag Team Championship will be on the line this week on Raw. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn of The Unholy Union will be defending their title in a triple threat tag team match against Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark of The Pure Fusion Collective & IYO SKY & Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL. The title changes could be a surprise for their fans and could refresh the women’s tag team division.

3. Stipulation match for CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been continuing their cat-and-mouse game week after week. Punk confirmed that he is not done with McIntyre and wants a sequel match with him until he gets his bracelet back. Punk also attacked Drew with the leather belt last week on the ringside. Since both are getting brutal, WWE could add special stipulation matches for them at Bash in Berlin.

2. Braun Strowman return

Braun Strowman got brutally assaulted by Judgment Day on the June 3, 2024 episode of Raw, targeting the Monster’s knee. Strowman has not been seen on WWE TV since then, however, Strowman recently appeared for the WWE Live Tour in Lakeland, Florida. As the Monster is back in action, Strowman could return on this week’s Raw.

1. Alexa Bliss return

Alexa Bliss has been away from WWE TV for almost two years due to maternity leave and she could be back this week on Raw, as online fans claim that WWE Network in Canada has promoted Alexa Bliss & Wyatt Sicks faction together on Raw.

The fan tapings reveal that the Alexa Bliss vignette ended with a haunting laugh and the Wyatt Sicks was advertised for Raw. This made many believe that Alexa Bliss could return on this week’s Raw. Bliss was also spotted in the promotional trucks before during the Raw tapings. All that hints that WWE could bring the Five Feet Fury and surprise the WWE fans.
