Top five surprises that could be in store for WWE Raw (December 16, 2024)
WWE Raw will take place in Boston, Massachusetts
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw will be held at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and will feature two high-stakes title matches.
The 12/16 episode will serve as the fallout show from Saturday Night Main Event, which took place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York, and included four title matches as well as a grudge match.
Ahead of the 12/16 episode let us take a look at the top five WWE surprises you should watch out for this Monday night’s show.
5. Damian Priest interferes in the Tag Title match
World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are set to defend their crown against Erik and Ivar (War Raiders) in the 12/16 episode of the Red brand.
Balor is coming off a loss against Gunther at SNME in a triple-threat match which also featured Damian Priest. Priest and Balor’s feud was reignited when Finn attacked Priest during his title match against Gunther at Survivor Series 2024 PLE.
The match at SNME was originally between Balor and Gunther, it was changed to a triple threat after last week’s developments on the Red brand. Following the loss the promotion will likely focus on Balor and Priest exploring their feud further.
The Archer of Infamy could make his presence felt during Balor and McDonagh’s tag title defense on this week’s episode, potentially costing The Judgment Day their titles. This interference would not only set the stage for a tense showdown between Damian and Balor but also lay the groundwork for their upcoming clash in the future.

4. Wyatt Sicks retaliates
Wyatt Sicks clashed with Final Testament on last week’s episode in an eight-man title match. The two factions are locked in a fierce feud which culminated in last week’s clash.
However, the return of Paul Ellering helped the Final Testament in the match as Karrion Kross decimated Uncle Howdy and picked up the win. On this week’s episode, Wyatt Sicks is very likely to retaliate perhaps attacking Paul Ellering settling the score for the loss last week.

3. Sheamus targets Ludwig Kaiser & Bron Breakker
Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker will defend his title against Ludwig Kaiser at the TD Garden on this week’s episode. The two stars clashed earlier in a triple threat match at Survivor Series 2024 PLE in Vancouver on November 30th. Breakker emerged victorious as he defeated Sheamus and Kaiser at the Rogers Arena.
Kaiser’s second shot at the title this week could upset Sheamus, especially since he was also part of the triple-threat match. The Celtic Warrior had previously faced Bron Breakker before the Survivor Series PLE, where Kaiser’s interference led to a disqualification.
This time, Sheamus might take matters into his own hands, attacking Kaiser during the match and forcing a disqualification. In doing so, he could cost Ludwig his title opportunity, paying him back for the disruption Kaiser caused in his own match.
2. Drew McIntyre attacks Jey Uso
Drew McIntyre made a dramatic return during the fallout episode of Survivor Series, attacking Jey Uso backstage before delivering a brutal Claymore Kick to Sami Zayn in the closing moments of the show.
On the following week’s Raw, McIntyre discussed the WarGames match at Survivor Series, criticizing Zayn and the Usos for selling out without gain, while Punk at least made a deal with Paul Heyman.
The rivalry between Zayn and Drew continued at SNME in New York, where McIntyre defeated Zayn. After the match, he declared he had taken down one member of the OG Bloodline and hinted at targeting the rest.
On this week’s episode, McIntyre might target Jey Uso again after the backstage attack in his return. There is a possibility that he might attack CM Punk who was also involved in the WarGames clash from the OG Bloodline’s side.
The two stars were already involved in a fierce feud for the majority of the year which culminated at Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 2024 PLE.
1. CM Punk – Seth Rollins brawl
CM Punk and Seth Rollins are scheduled to make an appearance on this week’s episode. The two stars have reignited their feud as the two continued to engage in a war of words on last week’s episode of the Red brand.
Reports suggest that CM Punk and Seth Rollins are set to face off in the Netflix debut of the Red brand. The two rivals could come face-to-face this week, potentially building up to their upcoming clash.
The tension between them is intense, and a physical confrontation seems like a strong possibility if they meet in the ring this week.
Who will Drew McIntyre target next from the OG Bloodline? How will the Wyatt Six respond to their loss? Will Judgment Day be able to retain their World Tag Team Titles? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
