WWE could surprise their fans on the 8/2 episode of SmackDown

WWE is all set to host the August 02, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. This is the final episode of SmackDown before the 2024 SummerSlam PLE.

WWE has announced some of the interesting matches and segments for the show and there is a huge stake in it. Here we take a look at the top five surprises WWE can plan for this week’s SmackDown to spice up things.

5. SummerSlam Battle Royal could be announced

Last year, WWE hosted the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal at the biggest party of the summer. However, there is no update yet on whether the company is interested in continuing the battle royal or not. On the final episode of SmackDown, WWE could add a SummerSlam battle Royal for the pre-show.

4. Jade Cargill turning on Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill are set to challenge Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match this week on SmackDown. If the dynamic duo failed to recapture the title it could be one of the biggest upsets of their run. At this stage, Jade could surprise Belair and the WWE Universe by attacking her to show off her original colors.

3. Tiffany Stratton MITB cash-in

With both Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton having valid contract for the WWE Women’s Championship match, both are looking to have their big moment. Jax promised that she would help Tiffany cash in her MITB briefcase, but Jax is about to face Bayley for the title at SummerSlam, and there is a high chance of winning the title.

At this stage, Nia Jax could help Tiffany cash in her MITB contract this week on SmackDown to make her WWE Women’s Champion and both will have their big moment at SummerSlam, as Tiffany can face Nia Jax at the PLE. This move could surprise a lot of WWE fans.

2. Randy Orton & Kevin Owens’ return

The Bloodline took brutal shots against Randy Orton & Kevin Owens two weeks in a row and forced them to stay away from WWE Television. With no one to have his back, Cody Rhodes will have his final face-off against Solo Sikoa, this week on SmackDown, ahead of their SummerSlam match.

As there are high chances of Bloodline attacking Cody, Orton & Owens could make their return this week to save the champion. Orton & Owen’s WWE return before SummerSlam could be one of the biggest surprises of the show.

1. Jimmy Uso returns

Bloodline 2.0 has been dominating the SmackDown brand, by taking out all the stars in the company. The numbers game has been the reason behind the dominance of the Bloodline. In the battle to fight against Solo’s Bloodline, Jimmy Uso could join hands with Randy Orton, Kevin Owens & Cody Rhodes.

Jimmy Uso could potentially sabotage the Bloodline’s WWE Tag Team Championship match as revenge for kicking him out of the faction. As most of them are waiting for The OG Bloodline members to return, Jimmy’s return could shock every WWE fan.
