There are huge surprises in store for fans on the 11/22 episode of SmackDown

The November 22 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be telecasted live from the home of Utah Jazz, Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A. The episode of the Blue brand will continue to build on last week’s developments.

WWE has some interesting matches and segments in store for the show and here we dive into the surprises that could be in store for fans on this week’s episode of the Blue brand.

5. DIY split

The #DIY faction, consisting of Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, has been going through a very rough patch for the last two weeks. Ciampa feels that his team is being neglected as he feels the faction deserves a shot at the title.

Ciampa and Gargano have had a few arguments regarding the matter, and Ciampa has shown his frustration with Gargano’s positive mindset and his coziness with the current WWE Tag Team Champion, Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin).

Ciampa was further irked when the Street Profits got their shot at the tag title against MCMG on last week’s episode. Ciampa appeared during the match and interfered which caused the match to end due to disqualification.

Gargano rushed to the ring and tried to calm his stable mate down but Ciampa pushed Gargano away and left the ring. In this week’s episode, the rift might be further intensified if Johnny tries to confront Ciampa.

4. Shinsuke Nakamura attacks again

In last week’s episode, United States Champion LA Knight defended his title against Berto of the Legado Del Fantasma faction. Knight successfully defended his title but he was attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura who made his return last week.

The attacks might anger Knight who would look to confront Nakamura on this week’s episode in Salt Lake City. However, there is a possibility that Nakamura who is known for his sneaky attacks blindsides the US champion and attacks him again.

The Stamford-based promotion might use this storyline to set up a match between the two with the US title on the line at the upcoming PLE in Vancouver.

3. Seth Rollins joins the OG faction

Solo Sikoa and the rogue faction this week on the Red brand cost Rollins the match against his fierce rival and the fifth member of the rogue faction, Bronson Reed. Reed was aided by his new stablemates as he joined the rogue faction ahead of their clash with the OG faction.

Rollins has previously turned down the offer to join the OG faction twice, stating that he doesn’t want a ‘tyrant’ like Roman Reigns back in power. The Visionary has also stated that he had no problem in teaming up with Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jimmy Uso but the involvement of the OTC was a deal breaker for him.

However, due to the recent interference Rollins might rethink his stance, there is a possibility of him joining forces with the OG faction ahead of the WarGames clash. The Visionary’s deep hatred for Reed might triumph over his hatred for Reigns.

2. Cody Rhodes – Kevin Owens face-off ends in a brawl

Last week in Wisconsin, Cody Rhodes, The American Nightmare, kicked off the show with a fiery promo. Rhodes directly addressed Kevin Owens, accusing him of crossing the line and demanding Owens show up in the arena.

However, Kevin Owens was barred from the venue. Later, a video aired featuring Owens revealed that WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis had personally invited him to appear on the November 22 episode in Salt Lake City.

There is a high probability that the face-off ends in a brawl as the two have some serious issues to resolve. Rhodes believes that Owens crossed the line when he landed the controversial Piledriver move on Orton that caused him serious injury.

On the other hand, Owens believes that he is a reason for his actions and has no remorse for anything he did in recent weeks. Owens also believes he is the victim in this situation and he might attack Rhodes again instead of trying to express himself.

1. Paul Heyman calls Roman Reigns

In the last week’s episode, the OG faction was brutalized by Solo Sikoa and Company who recruited Bronson Reed as their fifth member. At the end of the show, Reigns tried to call ‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman after multiple calls from the members to do so.

However, The OTC failed to contact Heyman as the voice on the other line said that the number was not in service. Reigns was visibly upset after the message as the show ended.

Reigns and the OG faction need the help of The Wiseman very badly right now, they have been unable to even recruit their fifth member.

Heyman might get the message and call his Tribal Chief who is in dire need. Heyman might call to console the OTC and there is a possibility that he might help the OG faction in recruiting their fifth member.
