The 9/2 episode of WWE Raw could be filled with surprises!
WWE is all set to host the September 02, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, United States. This is the aftermath of Bash in Berlin and the show is expected to be filled with surprises. With just hours away from the show, here we take a look at the top five surprises WWE could have in store for this week’s Raw.
5. Reinstate Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs Damage CTRL
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill recaptured their tag team titles by defeating Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn at the Bash in Berlin PLE. At this stage, the champs could make their appearance on Monday Night Raw, since the tag team champions had the right to appear on both the shows. The champs could celebrate their title win and could be confronted by Damage CTRL, to reinstate their rivalry for the title.
4. A title match
WWE could host a championship match this week on Raw. Finn Balor & JD McDonagh haven’t defended their World Tag Team Championship title on the line in recent times. Since all the other titles are defended on a regular interval, they could defend it this week. On the other hand, Belair and Cargill the Women’s Tag Team Champions are also set to appear on Raw, and they could defend their title against The Unholy Union in a title rematch.

3. Hardy Boyz WWE return
Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy are currently in TNA, however they didn’t sign a full-time deal with the company. There have been big rumors backstage that Team extreme could make their return to WWE someday for their final run. Since the TNA stars are appearing on WWE and Raw’s tag team division are on its decline, WWE could bring The Hardys to Raw this week to spice up things.
2. CM Punk could be in action
CM Punk during his injury earlier this year appeared on a number of Raw venues on and after the show, to address the WWE Universe and his injury. During the segments, Punk promised the fans that the next time he was in the city, he would have his boots on for the in-ring action. Punk however worked only on the PLEs, but hasn’t made his Raw in-ring return yet. With the next PLE more than a month away, Punk could make his Raw in-ring return this week.
1. Seth Rollins return
Seth Rollins got taken out by Bronson Reed on the SummerSlam fall out episode of Raw and the Visionary has not been seen on WWE TV since then. Rollins was reportedly said to be injured and was taken out of TV. On the other hand, Reed has been continuing his assaults on other stars including R-Truth and Braun Strowman, who are taken out of TV.
To avoid Reed attacking others, Rollins could make his return this week to stop him and could screw his #1 Contender’s match. As triple threat match comes under no disqualification rules, this could be a perfect time for Rollins’ return.
