WWE’s latest move sparks speculation about The Rock.
The Rock could be closer to another WWE appearance than previously expected, with a recent move by the company creating fresh speculation about the Hollywood star’s potential return.
WWE recently deleted and reposted an announcement promoting an upcoming talent tryout in Hawaii. The original graphic featured several WWE Superstars, including Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, but the updated version included The Rock alongside Roman Reigns and The Usos.
The tryout is scheduled around WWE’s October 16 and 17 events at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, with applications reportedly due by September 15. WWE has not explained why the promotional graphic was changed, leaving fans to wonder whether The Final Boss could have some involvement.
The Rock’s connection to the Bloodline continues

The timing of the graphic has made the development even more intriguing. Roman Reigns and The Usos remain central figures in ongoing WWE storylines, while the wider Bloodline saga continues to evolve.
On August 10, Jey Uso defeated Solo Sikoa before the former Bloodline member was delivered to Roman Reigns. Later, Solo and LA Knight attacked Reigns and The Usos on RAW, adding another layer to the family conflict. The Rock has also recently shown interest in another member of the extended Anoa’i family.
The Rock backs Zilla Fatu
The Final Boss recently threw his support behind Zilla Fatu ahead of the young star’s WWE in-ring debut at NXT Heatwave.
Fatu, who joined WWE in August 2026, is scheduled to challenge Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship in a four-way match that also features Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana.
The Rock responded to a WWE post on Instagram supporting Fatu. The two are members of the extended Anoa’i wrestling family, with Fatu also being related to Roman Reigns.
Fatu’s rapid rise from his WWE debut to a major NXT championship opportunity has led to speculation that his family connections have played a role in his push.
For now, there is no confirmation that The Rock will appear at the Hawaii tryout or return to WWE television. WrestleMania 43 remains one potential stage for another appearance or match, although that possibility currently appears far from certain.
