Their issues date back to 2017, when Logan Paul sparked global outrage by filming a deceased body in Japan’s Aokigahara forest. The incident drew massive backlash, forcing Paul to issue a public apology. For The Rock, however, the behavior was inexcusable, and he immediately cut all ties with the YouTuber-turned-WWE Superstar.

In a video, The Rock reached out to Logan Paul with a warm message, putting the past behind them. Appearing casual but sincere, Johnson referred to Logan as his “brother” and expressed excitement about Paul’s meeting with filmmaker Benny Safdie.

“Yo, brother, I know you’re doing Benny Safdie today. I told Benny how much I loved you, and you guys are going to have a great talk,” The Rock said, making it clear he has moved past the controversy.

The message marked a dramatic turnaround from Johnson’s stance seven years ago. At the time, he wanted nothing to do with Paul, asking his team to remove all content they had created together.

Logan Paul reflects on the fallout and reunion

Logan Paul previously spoke about how deeply The Rock’s reaction affected him. In a chat with YouTuber True Geordie, Paul explained that Johnson’s publicist delivered the news of the sudden separation. The directive was clear: remove all collaborations and step away until further notice.

“I was extremely low mentally, and I got a call saying Dwayne asked that you remove every picture and video with him. For now, he basically wants nothing to do with you,” Paul recalled. While disappointed, he admitted he understood Johnson’s decision given the circumstances.

Fast forward to today, Logan Paul must feel vindicated to have received such a positive message from Johnson. With The Rock now fully back in WWE as “The Final Boss,” fans are already speculating whether the two could eventually share screen time together. A segment featuring the two stars would surely generate huge buzz across both wrestling and mainstream audiences.
