The Rock & Roman Reigns defeat Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at WWE WrestleMania 40; Bloodline Rules match set for Night 2

As the Road to WrestleMania winds its tumultuous path, the clash between Cody Rhodes, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Roman Reigns ignites the WWE Universe like never before. With the World Heavyweight and Undisputed WWE Universal Champions fighting in the same match, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
In a move dripping with intensity, The Rock and Reigns throw down the gauntlet, challenging Rhodes and Rollins to a monumental tag team battle on the eve of WrestleMania. The proposition: if Rhodes and Rollins triumph, The Bloodline’s influence will be banished from the main event title match. Yet, should The Rock and Reigns emerge victorious, WrestleMania‘s pinnacle becomes engulfed in “Bloodline Rules,” an ominous decree granting the faction unchecked authority.
Unified by their conviction that the future of WWE hangs in the balance, Rhodes and Rollins defiantly accept the challenge, venturing into enemy territory on SmackDown to cement their resolve. This showdown transcends mere competition; it’s a clash of legacies, a battle for supremacy that will echo through the annals of WrestleMania history.
The Rock and Roman Reigns wins against Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins, making WrestleMania 40 Day 2 main event Bloodline rules
Before the match began SmackDown GM and RAW GM, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce thanked fans for their love and support. 72,453 people made it to WrestleMania 40 Night 1, but everybody was waiting for the main event, as it was going to decide the future of the company.
Cody Rhodes was the first to make his entrance and with his entry it could be seen how fired up the fans were to see the main event. Next came Rhodes’ partner WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Then came The Rock and his entry was something. The Final Boss entered in style. The Rock was seen coming out of fire, so it was special. He also carried the new People’s Champ belt he recieved during the WWE Hall of Fame 2024.
Everybody was waiting for one man and that was “The Tribal Chief”. And as Roman Reigns made his entrance the ones were struck high. Reigns was accompanied by Wiseman Paul Heyman. All four men came face-to-face before the bell rang and animosity between them was clearly visible.
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins start the WrestleMania 40 Day 1 main event
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins started the match. Both men starts off, but Roman quickly takes control over Seth Rollins. But Seth Rollins fires back and tags Cody Rhodes in. Roman and Cody goes one on one, where Cody tries to get some control and then Seth tags himself in and then The Rock asks Roman to tag him in and Roman does it.
The Rock faces Seth Rollins but The Final Boss quickly overpowers Rollins. But Rollins with some technical moves shows The Rock the difference. Both men start a full-out brawl, where The Rock taunts Cody and asks him to get inside the ring. Rhodes tags himself in and both men faces each other off. As both men came face to face anger and frustration could be seen on both the superstar’s face.
Cody unloads on The Rock hitting him with hooks and punches and then joins Seth Rollins and they double teams The Rock. Then came Roman Reigns to support his cousin. Rollins and Rhodes start beating The Rock and Roman Reigns diving both the men. As, The Rock and Roman Reigns tried to fight back Rollins and Rhodes fought as well.
As, Seth kept The Rock busy, Cody on the other hand kept Reigns busy. With all four men brawling all out over the Wells Fargo Center. Later, Roman cheap shots Seth Rollins’ left knee and The Rock starts attacking Rollins injured knee and Cody Rhodes. The Rock starts working on Rollins’ injured knee and keeps on attacking his knees, then tags Roman Reigns in.

With the injury somehow Rollins tries to fight back but somehow Rollins hangs on and keeps fighting and then comes Cody Rhodes for Rollins’ aid helping him to capitalize and hit a curb stomp on The Rock. Cody Rhodes usef this opportunity to tag himself in and The Rock tags Roman Reigns and both men fights in the center. Cody Rhodes is all-fired up but Roman Reigns counters with a Superman punch.
As Roman Reigns prepares for a spear Rhodes counters and tags in Seth Rollins who hot Roman Reigns with a splash but Reigns kicks out of two. As Rollins goes for a Curb Stomp Reigns somehow counters into a powerbomb but with Rhodes and Rollins all over Reigns, Roman succumbs but The Rock saves Roman Reigns, but due to these distractions Roman Reigns goes low on Cody to hit a spear but Cody somehow manages to kick out.
Then Roman puts Cody in a Guillotine but it helps Rollins to hit Roman with a curb stomp. The Rock tags himself in and hits Rhodes with a spine buster to hit Rhodes with a People’s Elbow, but Rhodes counters into a Cody Cutter, then again Reigns intervenes hitting Rhodes with another Superman Punch. Roman Reigns goes to spear Cody Rhodes but he hits it to The Rock which helps Rollins and Rhodes to use their finishers on both the men, but both Reigns and The Rock kicks out of two.
A huge moment came when Rhodes put The Rock through the announce table and another moment Roman Reigns put Seth Rollins through the barricade. Then The Rock tags Roman Reigns and Reigns starts fighting with Cody Rhodes, but Rhodes hits Reigns with two cross roads, but The Rock hitting with the belt on Cody Rhodes, steals the match for Roman Reigns and The Rock. The Rock tags himself in and picks up the win for The Bloodline.
