Kevin Owens spoke openly about Cody Rhodes before their encounter on Saturday Night’s Main Event 2024.

In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Kevin Owens was asked what are three things he hates about the current WWE Undisputed Champion.

Kevin Owens hates Cody Rhodes’ tracksuit

First up, Owens isn’t a fan of Cody Rhodes’ signature tracksuit. Specifically, the fact that Rhodes decided to make his own WWE tracksuit with his “American Nightmare” logo and stitched “QB” on the breast. According to Owens, this is a bit much.

“He made his own tracksuit, his own WWE tracksuit with the American Nightmare logo, but he had QB stitched on the breast. He’s going around telling people he was made Quarterback of this era. Nobody is calling him the quarterback except for himself,” Owens said.

Owens also took issue with something Rhodes said about his new car. On TV, Cody made a point of mentioning Owens’ Lamborghini, which apparently struck a nerve. But it wasn’t just the car itself—Owens took exception to the way Rhodes put it.

“On television, he talked about how I had a Lamborghini, which, I guess that offends him. He owns his own tour bus and has a driver that drives him around,” Owens added, clearly not impressed by Rhodes’ transportation choices.

Finally, Owens shared his thoughts on Rhodes’ bleached blonde hair, which has become a trademark part of his look. While Owens doesn’t seem to mind Cody’s personal style, he’s more concerned about the influence it’s having on kids across the country.

“He has this bleached hair, bleach blonde hair, which is not his natural color. That’s fine for him. What’s happening is, all over America, I’ve noticed parents bleaching their children’s hair so they can look like Cody,” Owens explained. “You’ll see it every week when he comes out. These parents are shoving their child at Cody, and they have the jacket and bleached blonde hair.”

He added, “That’s not good, these chemicals in your kid’s hair. He is promoting an unhealthy habit that Americans, specifically, are putting their kids through. Against their will, I’m sure. No kid is going, ‘Can you bleach my hair so I look like Cody Rhodes?’ That’s not happening. That’s just parents trying to make Cody happy so they can get an autograph or stupid weightlifter’s belt. It’s shameful all around.”

Owens and Rhodes now face off this weekend with the Undisputed WWE Title on the line at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2024.
