Tonight’s episode of SmackDown will emanate live from San Antonio!
Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The show is set to serve as the fallout show for last week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event as well as the all-women’s PLE, Evolution.
One of the major segment announced for the show is the SummerSlam match contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Cody Rhodes. The two stars are set to clash in a rematch from WrestleMania 41 with the Undisputed title on the line.
Ahead of the contract signing, let us take a look at the top three things that might transpire during the segment on WWE SmackDown tonight.
3. Ron ‘R-Truth’ Killings strikes
Since his return at Money in the Bank, R-Truth was firmly set on getting his hands on Cena. He even attacked Cena during his return, costing him the match and then wanted a match with him, something which ended not as planned for him.
The uncerimous way their singles match ended on last month’s SmackDown, might force Truth to take action. With Aleister Black feuding with Damian Priest might give Truth the chance to attack Cena during the segment.

2. Babyface vs Heel
While as on now, John Cena is a heel, while Cody Rhodes is a babyface, both men have been teasing a major turn.
Fans have highly speculated about a turn for the two, while Rhodes has denied these speculations, fans are sure that Cena will turn face before his retirement. After a major tease during Night of Champions, Cena might drop another hint of turning during the segment.
1. Brawl to end the show

The contarct signing between the two stars is likely going to maine evnt the show and what better way to close the show, leaving fans on a high note than two superstars brawling.
There’s much more on the line in the rematch for the Champion this time as he was pinned by Cody Rhodes during their tag team match, including Jey Uso and Logan Paul, respectively, at Money in the Bank 20205. Cena might decide to act or if pushed he might lash out attacking Rhodes during the segment.

The rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed title will take place on SummerSlam 2025 next month.
