Top three things to watch out for on this week’s (5/10) WWE SmackDown

2024 Draft will come into full effect this Friday
The May 5, 2024 episode of SmackDown will be aired from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This is the fallout episode of SmackDown, which kickstarts the road to the King & Queen of the Ring Tournament.
WWE has booked a number of interesting tournament matches for the show. As this week’s SmackDown is already packed with exciting matches & segments here we take a look at top three things to watch out for on this week’s SmackDown.
3. WWE Draft will come into full effect on SmackDown
WWE has hosted the 2024 WWE Draft as a two night event on the April 26, 2024 episode of SmackDown and on the April 29, 2024 episode of Raw. The Superstars who are drafted to the blue brand will finally show up on Television as the draft comes to full effect on this week’s show.
We could see a number of Superstars making SmackDown their home including Andrade, Nia Jax, Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, Candice LeRae, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Blair Davenport & more.
2. Induction of new Bloodline member
At Backlash 2024 in France, during the opening Street Fight match of The Bloodline vs Randy Orton & Kevin Owens, the new Bloodline member, Tanga Loa interfered and helped Bloodline win. This week, Solo Sikoa will be officially inducting Tanga Loa as the newest member of the Bloodline, similar to how he inducted his MFT, Tama Tonga into the faction weeks ago.
1. King & Queen of the Ring Tournament Bangers
Following the King and Queen of the Ring Tournament on Raw, the blue brand will be having their King & Queen of the Ring first round matches this week. Some of the big names are clashing in the first round matches. The announced First Round King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments match card includes,
- Randy Orton vs AJ Styles
- Angelo Dawkins vs Tama Tonga
- Bianca Belair vs Candice LeRae
- Jade Cargill vs Piper Niven
- Naomi vs Nia Jax
On the card, Tama Tonga was originally set to face Bobby Lashley. However Nick Aldis announced Lashley is medically not cleared and Angelo Dawkins will be replacing him. Candice LeRae will be making her SmackDown debut, Tama Tonga will be making his singles’ match debut & Nia Jax will be making her SmackDown in-ring return.
