WWE SmackDown will have many important segments building future storylines

WWE Friday Night SmackDown promises to deliver another blockbuster show as it airs live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 18, 2024. With top-tier talent scheduled to appear, fans are in for a night of unforgettable action and historic moments.

The episode will mark the highly anticipated WWE debut of the legendary tag team, Motor City Machine Guns (MCMG), adding excitement to the already stacked card.

The rivalry between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes reaches its conclusion as the two face off in the seventh and final match of their epic series, with the stakes higher than ever. The winner will earn a shot at LA Knight’s United States Championship, ending months of bitter competition between the two.

Additionally, Angel and Berto look to secure a chance at the WWE Tag Team Titles, but they must first defeat a hand-picked team by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

With Roman Reigns confirmed for multiple appearances in the coming weeks, SmackDown continues to be “The Tribal Chief’s yard,” leaving fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.

With fans anticipating many things here are the top three things to watch out for this week on WWE SmackDown.

3. Carmelo Hayes & Andrade to have their final fight

Andrade & Carmelo Hayes will have their final fight with each other this week on WWE SmackDown. Both are 3-3 currently but, this is an important match for both guys as it will determine no. one contender for WWE US Championship.

This match will determine who will face LA Knight for the championship. Also, with Andrade and Carmelo Hayes fighting each other for months, this match will definitely determine a winner ending their rivalry, helping them have a fresh start for a new storyline.

2. Kevin Owens’ video package

Kevin Owens is unable to communicate effectively. On Tuesday evening, “The Prize Fighter” took to social media to release a video of his recent parking lot attacks on Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, as well as how WWE has attempted to quiet him since then.

“As much as I’d love to explain myself and give my side of the story, WWE has not allowed me to do that,” Owens said. “They’ve done the opposite, actually. They’ve tried to shut me up.” Owens continued, “Over the weekend, I sent them a video that I hoped would air on Raw, but they didn’t.”

He concluded the video by adding that he is giving WWE till Friday’s SmackDown to run his video, and if they do not, he will upload it online. so, it will be interesting to see whether WWE addresses the issue or not.

1. Will Roman Reigns ask for help?

Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso defeated The Bloodline 2.0 at Bad Blood, but they lack the numbers to face them head-on. It’s evident from WWE SmackDown that Reigns needs more assistance to reclaim The Bloodline from Solo Sikoa.

Last week, Jimmy Uso said Reigns was a Tribal Chief without a tribe. Uso said that he came to Reigns’ aid despite the fact that he had not asked for assistance. Uso also stated that they would need further assistance.

Jimmy stated he knew someone who might help them, prompting the fans to yell “Yeet!” in honor of Jey Uso. Reigns gave Jimmy a harsh gaze before replying, “Not yet.” Jimmy offered Reigns a consoling but disapproving slap on the shoulder before walking away.

It will be interesting to see how WWE builds the storyline & whether Roman Reigns would cave in and ask for Jey Uso’s help anytime soon or not.
