A total of 13 matches have been announced for the 42nd edition of WrestleMania, which will take place as a two-night event on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. ,
Night 1 of the PLE will feature seven matches, while Night 2 will feature six matches. Now, a major singles match that has been teased ahead of the PLE has not yet been announced. Asuka vs Iyo Sky was in the works for Mania, but WWE has not yet announced the match.
Despite fans’ speculating that WWE has scrapped the bout, reports have suggested that Asuka and Kairi Sane, the Kabuki Warriors, are backups for the Fatal Four-way match for the Women’s Tag Team titles if Nikki Bella, who is currently injured, doesn’t receive medical clearance.
The Kabuki Warriors will replace The Bella Twins in that case, and the singles match between Iyo and Asuka is likely shelved due to it. We have a new update regarding the planned match and whether WWE has scrapped it.

Responding to a fan tweet on X, Cory Hays of BodySlam noted the massive changes to the WrestleMania card, noting that he doesn’t really want to report on Mania season due to the multiple changes.
A fan responding to the tweet asked, Hays, why WWE scrapped Asuka vs Iyo. Responding to it, Hayes revealed that he is under the belief that the match is not officially canceled. “I’m under the belief it’s not officially scrapped yet.”

Night 1 will see Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, while Night 2 will be headlined by CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.
