Three major WWE stars expected to appear at WrestleMania 40

WWE is just two weeks away from hosting its biggest professional wrestling event, WrestleMania 40. This year WrestleMania will be hosted two nights on April 6 & April 7, 2024 at Lincoln Finance Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A number of great events are booked in Philly to celebrate wrestling.

The WrestleMania 40 card is star studded and promising, which makes us believe that it is one of the greatest WrestleMania’s in recent times. The matches already carry a huge expectation, and a backstage report on the appearance of three major WWE stars adds more anticipation to the show.

Steve Austin, Undertaker & John Cena at WrestleMania 40?

Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that three major WWE stars, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker & John Cena are expected to be a part of WrestleMania 40 in some form. He stated that there aren’t any creative plans for them as of now, however everything depends upon their willingness and money. Meltzer however notes that there is nothing official.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter says report,

“Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form.”

“At press time, there is no creative locked in for Cena and Austin at this moment, or if there is, it’s a well-guarded secret. A lot depends on how much they are willing to do and money.”

“Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quick after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons. Austin and Undertaker would be based on the willingness that they have.”

Meltzer previously reported that Cena can’t risk his body by doing anything physical, as he will be continuing with his upcoming acting projects. Meltzer in a previous report said, “We were told that if he does appear, the idea is to do something fun, short and memorable and with substance”.

The Undertaker has a 1deadMAN show on April 4, 2024 in The Fillmore in Philadelphia. However there is no clue on Taker & Austin’s role at WrestleMania 40.
