It’s Finally Tiffy Time

Six superstars strived to grab the Money in the Bank contract dangling above the ring, giving them a chance to become great. The victor of the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match has a perfect record of turning the contract into gold.

Just ask IYO SKY, who will compete in her second Money in the Bank Ladder Match after winning last year’s game-changing event. SKY eventually cashed in and became the WWE Women’s Champion, keeping the title for 245 days before losing it to Bayley at WWE WrestleMania XL. SKY defeated Kiana James and Zelina Vega to gain her second opportunity.

Chelsea Green competed in her first Money in the Bank Ladder Match, having defeated Bianca Belair and Michin. Lyra Valkyria, who qualified by defeating Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane, also competed in her first Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Tiffany Stratton overcame Jade Cargill and Candice LeRae, while Naomi defeated Blair Davenport and Indi Hartwell to also qualify. Zoey Stark won to enter last, defeating Ivy Nile and Dakota Kai.

The highly anticipated Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at WWE 2024 delivered an electrifying and chaotic spectacle that had the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. As the bell rang, all the competitors quickly exited the ring to grab ladders, except Chelsea Green, who amusingly tried to jump and reach the briefcase, to no avail.

IYO SKY was the first to get a ladder into the ring, but Green immediately knocked her away. Green set up the ladder and started to climb but froze due to her fear of heights. Instead, she tried using the ladder to knock the briefcase loose, avoiding the climb altogether. She also used the ladder to knock Naomi and Stark off the apron before Sky took her out with a springboard missile dropkick.

Sky attempted to use the ladder again but was intercepted by Tiffany Stratton. The two exchanged blows, with Sky gaining the upper hand, showing off her athleticism with handsprings and sending Stratton into a ladder set in the corner. Stratton managed to avoid an initial impact but soon found herself crushed by Sky’s meteora into the ladder.

Lyra Valkyria entered the fray, slamming Sky onto the ladder and delivering a rope walk DDT followed by a fisherman’s suplex onto the ladder. The brutal moves continued as Stark hit Valkyria with a springboard missile dropkick and a vicious German suplex. Despite a series of high-impact moves, including an Alabama Slam from Stratton onto the ladder, the action showed no signs of slowing down.

Stratton thrilled the crowd with a Swanton Bomb onto Naomi, Stark, and Valkyria at ringside, earning loud chants of “Tiffy Time!” from the audience. Green, in the meantime, introduced an even taller ladder into the ring, only for Sky to slam it into her face. The crowd booed as their hometown favourite, Green, was taken out.

Lyra Valkyria hits a German Suplex

Valkyria tried to capitalize by climbing the ladder, but Sky pulled her feet out, placing her in a tree of woe position on the ladder and stomping away at her. Valkyria responded with a German suplex off the ladder, only to be kneed in the face by Stark.

As the match reached its climax, Stratton and Stark climbed the ladder, exchanging blows at the top. Naomi set up another ladder next to them and tried to climb, but was pulled down and attacked by Stratton. The chaos continued with Naomi sweeping Stratton’s feet, sending her into the LED barricade, and then setting up tables at ringside.

In a dramatic sequence, Stark and Valkyria set up ladder bridges inside the ring, while Green and Stratton formed an uneasy alliance to set up tables outside. Sky used a flapjack to send Green onto one of the ladder bridges, and chaos ensued as bodies flew everywhere. Stark attempted a superplex, only to be hit by Sky’s Michinoku Driver off the top of the ladder onto a ladder bridge.

With everyone down except Chelsea Green, the crowd roared as she climbed the ladder and nearly unlatched the carabiner. However, Stratton tipped the ladder over, sending Green flying out of the ring and crashing through the tables at ringside. Seizing the opportunity, Stratton climbed the ladder and retrieved the 2024 Women’s Money in the Bank Briefcase, securing her victory in an unforgettable and action-packed match.
