Lex Luger has voiced his desire to have Sting during his HOF induction ceremony
Following Lex Luger’s comments about his desire to have his long-time friend and former tag partner Sting induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame 2025, AEW CEO Tony Khan has now commented on the possibility.
Lex Luger is set to be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame, ahead of his induction his comments kicked off speculations among fans as Sting is still under contract with the AEW. While the veteran retired last year, he remains a part of the Jacksonville-based promotion.
The rivalry between AEW and WWE is well known among fans which is why there have been a lot of speculations and reports suggesting multiple theories wondering if Tony Khan would allow ‘The Icon’ Sting to induct Luger into the HOF.
During a media call for AEW Dynasty, Khan was asked about Sting possibly inducting Luger. The AEW President stated that he was unsure and revealed that the topic didn’t come up during his recent conversation with the Icon.
“I talked to Sting recently before AEW Revolution, looking back on some great memories. Of course, it’s hard to think of AEW Revolution without thinking of Sting. He debuted in AEW at Revolution, and then ended his career at Revolution three years later.
So I’ll always think of Sting during Revolution season. We caught up on the phone right around the pay-per-view, and that was the last time we had spoken. So I haven’t heard from him about that, but certainly he’s doing very well, and that relationship and that friendship mean so much to me, and we’re all very grateful for Sting.” Khan said.
