WWE tried to set up some storylines at RAW just before their upcoming PLE Clash at the Castle.
The go-home edition of WWE Raw, just days before Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, had fans buzzing with anticipation and excitement. From intense rivalries to unexpected moments, this week’s episode delivered on multiple fronts.
Here are the three things we loved and three things we hated about this week’s WWE Raw.
Here are 3 things we loved on the latest edition of WWE RAW
3. Sami Zayn and Chad Gable Storyline
The ongoing feud between Sami Zayn and Chad Gable, with Otis caught in the middle, continued to deliver compelling storytelling. Zayn’s victory over Otis, thanks to Gable’s interference, set the stage for an explosive potential turn from Otis. The anticipation of Otis finally standing up to Gable has fans eagerly waiting for the moment, adding depth and emotional investment to the WWE storyline.
2. Ilja Dragunov vs Bron Breakker
This match was a brutal, hard-hitting contest that stood out as the best of the night. Both Dragunov and Breakker showcased their physicality and resilience, with Breakker ultimately securing the win after a series of devastating spears. The post-match attack by Ricochet, preventing a further assault on Dragunov, added an exciting twist, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
1. Drew McIntyre’s fiery opening and main event victory
Drew McIntyre kicked off the show with an electrifying promo, setting the stage for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle. The intense back-and-forth between McIntyre and Priest set up a high-stakes main event against Finn Balor, with the stipulation that a win for McIntyre would bar Judgment Day from ringside in Glasgow. McIntyre’s eventual victory, despite interference attempts, was a thrilling climax, ensuring a fair fight at the upcoming PLE.

3. Lack of build for Women’s Tag Team match
The match between Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn felt like a missed opportunity. Despite the pre-match attack by Fyre and Dawn, the bout did little to build suspense for the upcoming triple threat match at Clash at the Castle. The dominance of Baszler and Stark, with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair watching from ringside, made the challengers look weak, diminishing interest in the PLE bout.
2. Unnecessary World Tag Team Championship Match
The tag team match featuring The Awesome Truth defending against AOP was overshadowed by the ongoing feud between The New Day and Final Testament. The match felt unnecessary and did not add any significant value to the show. The inconsistent booking of Final Testament has left fans disconnected from their storyline, and this match did little to change that perception.
1. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan Soap Opera
The budding storyline involving Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan continued to feel out of place and overly dramatic. While it adds a layer of intrigue, the soap opera-esque moments, such as Morgan offering Dominik her hotel room key, detracted from the overall flow of the show. The convoluted dynamics within The Judgment Day faction also added to the confusion, making it hard for fans to stay fully engaged with this subplot.
