WWE could produce some blockbuster moments in 2026.
WWE capped off an incredible 2025 with highly successful live events, blockbuster deals, and major signings.
Moreover, it witnessed incredible, impactful moments that have changed the company’s landscape. So here are KhelNow’s top seven predictions for WWE in the coming year:
7. Kevin Owens returns to in-ring action

Kevin Owens has been sidelined for almost a year due to a neck injury. The former WWE Universal Champion was in attendance for John Cena’s final match, hinting that he could be back in the ring soon, possibly at the start or mid part of 2026.
6. The Shield main event WrestleMania

One of the top main events speculated for WrestleMania 42 next year is The Shield brothers, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, squaring off in a major showdown. The buildup could see one of the two competitors become a World Champion, adding high stakes to a blockbuster match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
5. Chris Jericho returns

Chris Jericho has been dropping hints about a potential return to WWE since his hiatus from AEW last April. The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla’s current deal is reportedly set to expire in December, and the very start of 2026 could see his monumental return, possibly at the Royal Rumble event.
4. Brock Lesnar retires

A major attraction who is rumored to retire from in-ring action is Brock Lesnar. A report stated that The Beast Incarnate is set to draw the curtains on his combat sports career at SummerSlam 2026, which will take place in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This could be the perfect end to one of the most accomplished careers in WWE history.
3. Cody Rhodes turns heel

The WWE Universe was shocked by John Cena’s heel turn in 2025, and the company could create the same shocking moment with the reigning poster boy in 2026, Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare was close to a heel turn last year before WWE went with Cena. However, with Rhodes reaching the heights of his babyface run, a shift in character could be his next evolution.
2. Bron Breakker becomes World Champion

Bron Breakker has been dubbed the future of WWE by top veterans, including Paul Heyman. The start of 2026 could be his major ascension, as he might defeat CM Punk and finally become a World Champion in their scheduled bout on the January 5 edition of RAW. If not, there is a very high chance that Breakker will eventually claim the gold in 2026.
1. John Cena’s Hall of Fame induction

John Cena wrestled his final WWE match in December 2025 and retired from in-ring competition for good. The Cenation Leader might find his place in immortality with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026 and be the headliner, leading to some appearances on television.
