The 2024 Bad Blood PLE is upon us, with an exciting match card. A variety of feuds will culminate on the night that promises to be an intriguing affair. WWE has delivered in nearly all of its special events this year. There is no reason to believe that Bad Blood would be any different.
But how can the Stamford-based promotion spice things up to raise the stakes on the return of the event? Here, we take a look at the top five twists WWE can plan at Bad Blood 2024.
5. The surprise return of Alexa Bliss
It feels like a matter of time before Alexa Bliss returns to WWE programming. What better way, than, to make her comeback all the more grand? The former women’s champion could surely interfere in Nia Jax and Bayley’s championship match to mark her return.
Although it feels that Bliss would be a part of the Monday Night RAW roster once she is back, a small rodeo on the SmackDown women’s division wouldn’t hurt either. WWE is known for masterfully managing its jaw-dropping returns, and it surely would generate a huge pop if Ms. Bliss does decide to show up at the Bad Blood PLE.
4. Tiffany Stratton cashes in her MITB contract!
Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax have been in cahoots for some time now. But the fact that the former holds the women’s Money in The Bank contract does not bode well for whoever holds the women’s title in SmackDown. While Jax is gearing up to face the veteran, Bayley at the Bad Blood PLE, Stratton could bring the State Farm Arena’s roof down if she does cash in her contract during or after the title bout. This twist entirely depends on how much shock value Triple H wants to create on the monumental 5th October night.
3. Dominik Mysterio somehow manages to get out of the shark cage with the help of his Judgement Day associates
Dominik Mysterio‘s constant interferences in Liv Morgan’s matches have sprung Adam Pearce into action. It was decreed by the RAW GM that, the third-generation wrestler would be mounted atop the ring in a dreaded shark cage during the mouth-watering title clash.
This decision has massively boosted Rhea RIpley‘s title credentials as she would be a huge favorite for the match. However, Carlito and JD McDonaugh could have something to say about it. While it is entirely possible that those two could interrupt Morgan vs Ripley on their own, it cannot be denied that the Judgement Day members help Mysterio escape from the shark cage. If that somehow miraculously happens, the Australian could bid her women’s title aspirations adieu once more.
2. AJ Lee appears shockingly to help CM Punk in his match!
Ever since CM Punk returned to WWE in 2023, speculations have been rife about the comeback of his wife and former superstar, AJ Lee. But apart from mentions of the sadistic Drew McIntyre and her beau, Lee hasn’t appeared in the Stamford-based promotion.
What if, that all changes come the Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood? McIntyre has been an absolute menace for Punk in this feud, and it would be a huge twist if Lee shows up to defend her husband’s honor. Granted, interferences in Cell matches have been few and far between, but the wrestling juggernaut could be willing to make an exception in this case.
1. Jimmy Uso returns to aid Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes!
Jimmy Uso was the first casualty when Solo Sikoa decided to hijack The Bloodline. Nearly, six months later, he is nowhere to be seen on WWE’s programming. The Bad Blood PLE could be a perfect opportunity for Uso to show up and declare his loyalty to the Original Tribal Chief.
It’s a given that Romans Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ unusual team would be short on numbers at some point of time during their tag team match on 5th October. WWE has had a way of evening the odds, and it would be a massive twist if Jimmy Uso mounts a shock comeback!
The excitement for the upcoming Bad Blood PLE is palpable as the fans will be served with a plethora of intense matches on the momentous nights. It remains to be seen if WWE decides to up the ante by adding some of these gargantuan twists to their plans for Bad Blood.
