Tyrese Haliburton is a huge WWE fan
Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers star got up with Landon Buford for a brief conversation after his team’s astonishing win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night at American Airlines Center.
First, the 24-year-old point guard was questioned about his top five all-time favorite WWE wrestlers. Tyrese ranked John Cena first, followed by Shawn Michaels, then Shelton Benjamin, The Undertaker and Roman Reigns.
Tyrese Haliburton also unveiled his Mount Rushmore of WWE finishes. The Wisconsin-born Pacers star named Randy Orton’s RKO, Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb, The Undertaker’s Hells Gate, and Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music as examples. Finally, Tyrese was questioned if he could attend next year’s Royal Rumble knowing that it will take place in Indianapolis, the Pacers’ home city.
Tyrese Haliburton noted that the Pacers will play the Atlanta Hawks that evening at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Despite the time limits, The Maestro stated that there was a chance, but he could not share all of the details. The Pacers’ game against the Hawks is scheduled for February 1 at 5 p.m. Meanwhile, the Royal Rumble will start an hour later, at 6.
There is a ray of hope that Haliburton will make it to the Rumble if he genuinely intends to, after completing his basketball obligations on schedule. Nonetheless, it will be intriguing to see whether he can make it there. The Royal Rumble will mark the beginning of the road to WrestleMania.
As of now, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair are all being advertised for Rumble. Fans will undoubtedly see some faces they haven’t seen in a long time at the PLE. John Cena is also slated to compete, which would likely kick off his retirement tour.
Tyrese Haliburton has made numerous WWE appearances this year. The more significant of the two occurred at a SmackDown taping at Madison Square Garden in July. He followed then-United States Champion Logan Paul to the ring, where he was scheduled to face LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a triple threat match.
When Paul approached Tyrese for assistance, he had the brass knuckles on hand. Jalen Brunson, who leapt the wall to confront Haliburton, had no intention of allowing it to happen.
They were going to fight when security interfered. Next, The Slender Conductor travelled to NXT in September to arbitrate a contract signing between Trick Williams and Ethan Page. He ended up introducing CM Punk as the special guest referee for their NXT championship match.
