Latest update on Roman Reigns' injury status after Seth Rollins attack at WWE Royal Rumble 2025

The OTC was brutally assaulted during the men’s Royal Rumble match

After reclaiming the Ula Fala in the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, Roman Reigns set his sights on regaining the Undisputed WWE Championship which he lost at the hands of Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns via Paul Heyman announced that he will enter the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match in order to get a chance at fighting the champion at WrestleMania in April.

The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE emanated from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 1. The men’s Rumble match was the main event of the show where multiple big names took part including CM Punk, John Cena, and Seth Rollins among many.

The OTC entered the match at the number 16 spot as he looked to win the match. However, in front of tough opposition and stars with a personal vendetta against Reigns, he failed to do so as he was eliminated by CM Punk during a clash with Seth Rollins.

Roman Reigns is likely going to miss the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE

However, CM Punk was also eliminated by Logan Paul after he eliminated Reigns and Rollins. While Reigns and Punk argued Seth launched a vicious attack as he landed a double foot stomp on the concrete floor on Reigns and started brawling with Punk.

Rollins continued the assault on his former Sheild brother as he delivered another brutal stomp this time on the steel steps, causing Reigns to collapse as the officials checked on the OTC.

During the 02/03 fallout show of Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee from the commentary booth recapped the heinous attack and Cole provided an update on Reigns’ situation. Cole revealed that he only had information that the OTC permitted him to share with fans.

While Cole didn’t provide any specific details he did state that Reigns will be sidelined for the foreseeable future, likely causing him to miss WWE’s second PLE before WrestleMania 41, Elimination Chamber which is scheduled for March 1st in Toronto, Canada.
