Solo Sikoa took on Roman Reigns in a tribal combat match
On the historic debut episode of WWE Raw on Netflix, Solo Sikoa locked horns with ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns. The two stars clashed in the first match of the night in a tribal combat match where the sacred Ula Fala was on the line.
Family and legacy were at stake in this clash where the two Samoans collided to find out who the ‘real’ tribal chief is. Despite multiple interferences from the Bloodline members and from Kevin Owens who landed a stunner on Reigns and called on Sikoa for the cover.
Solo was unable to pin Reigns as the OTC rallied back and finished the match by defeating Sikoa. With the win Reigns not only gained back the Ula Fala but also restored order in the Bloodline.
Following the win, Reigns has now officially stated his intentions via ‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman of reclaiming the Undisputed WWE title, which is currently being held by Cody Rhodes. Heyman also announced Reigns’ entry into the 2025 Royal Rumble.
Solo Sikoa will return next week on Friday Night SmackDown
While many fans were hoping to hear from Sikoa on the 01/10 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the leader of the Bloodline was nowhere to be seen. The Bloodline members on the other hand wreaked havoc on this week’s episode.
The second episode of the Blue brand in 2025 aired live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga in the opening moments of the show corned Paul Heyman who was saved by Jimmy Uso leading to a clash between them. Cody Rhodes shortly joined the brawl aiding Jimmy.
Fatu and Tonga also attacked LA Knight which led to a disqualification in his US title rematch against Shinsuke Nakamura. The two stars clashed with Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes in the main event where they picked up the win.
During the telecast of the show, the promotion announced segments and matches for the 01/17 show of the Blue brand. Among the announcements was the update that Solo Sikoa will return next week following the loss at the Raw debut episode.
The 01/17 episode of the Blue brand will emanate from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. Along with Sikoa’s return, the show will feature a tag team clash between Motor City Machine Guns and Los Garza. Newly crowned WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will also defend the title against Bayley on the show.
It would be interesting to see how Sikoa responds to the loss, Solo stated publicly on last week’s episode of SmackDown in front of Paul Heyman that if he loses he will acknowledge Reigns. We would have to wait for next week to see if Sikoa follows on his promise of whether he wreaks havoc in California.
How do you think Solo Sikoa will respond after losing the Ula Fala? Will he acknowledge Roman Reigns as his tribal chief? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
