Vince McMahon voluntarily stepped down as chairman and CEO of WWE in 2022
The name Vince McMahon was synonymous with WWE and the pro wrestling world for decades. The former CEO of WWE ruled the wrestling world and obliterated competition to create a brand that has become synonymous with pro wrestling.
The former CEO took the brand which was a regional player at that time, and made it into the international giant that we know today. However, in June 2022, he resigned as WWE CEO and chairman following claims of hush-money agreements over affairs with former WWE employees.
In 2023, WWE was merged with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) to form TKO group by their parent company Endeavor Group Holdings in April. McMahon later returned to serve as the executive chairman of the newly merged company, TKO Group Holdings (TKO).
McMahon later resigned from his position at TKO Group in January 2024 following allegations of trafficking and assault.
In recent times McMahon has been under federal investigation as he has been accused of involvement in trafficking and abuse by a former WWE employee Janel Grant. The ‘ring boy’ scandal has also resurfaced in light of the Mr. McMahon Netflix documentary.

Vince McMahon is planning to launch a new entertainment hub
As per reports from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Vince McMahon is in the process of establishing a new company after stepping down from his position at the TKO Group Holdings (WWE and the UFC’s parent company).
Following his departure from the WWE, the former CEO is planning to launch his new venture which is described as an entertainment hub that will focus on film and television productions.
“Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation have confirmed McMahon has been in the process of setting up what has been described as a new ‘entertainment hub company’ that would financially back, develop and produce film and television productions.
The belief among those we’ve spoken with is that there are no plans for this company to launch anything similar to WWE and they would instead focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.”
Multiple WWE alumni, including former Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum, are reportedly collaborating with the former WWE mogul. However, Kevin Dunn is not anticipated to join the former WWE mogul in his new venture.
The reports also suggest that the prospective company is likely to be headquartered in the Los Angeles area upon its official launch.
The new wrestling company will differ from WWE, with reports indicating that they do not plan to create “anything similar to WWE.” Instead, the focus will be on both fiction and non-fiction projects.
