At Raw after WrestleMania 40, a Fatal 4-Way match took place in the main event between Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Bronson Reed & Ricochet to determine the first #1 Contender for Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship.
During the final moments of the match, Drew McIntyre tried to hit a Claymore to Jey Uso, but CM Punk came from nowhere and grabbed Drew McIntyre’s leg to cause the distraction. This gave the chance to Jey Uso to hit a superkick, spear and frog splash to win the match and become the #1 Contender for the World Title.
The Raw went off with CM Punk standing over the announcement table laughing at Drew McIntyre’s loss. Now fan footage of what CM Punk did after Raw after WrestleMania 40 has come out.
What did CM Punk say after Raw after WrestleMania 40 went off air?
After Raw went off the air, CM Punk shared the ring with Jey Uso to address the WWE Universe in Philadelphia saying that they are gonna send everyone happy today with Main Event Jey Uso winning the main event and will face the new World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.
He asked Jey what he wanted to do at the end of WrestleMania weekend. Jey said that he was going to give away his boots signed by CM Punk to the Philadelphia crowd.
CM Punk said that he used to live in Philadelphia, near Murphy Recreation Center. When he signed to WWE in 2005, he spent a year in developmental territory in Kentucky. When he made it to television, his first pay-per-view was right there in Philadelphia. He doesn’t know how many watched that day, but the attendance on Raw is over 20,000 maniacs. He praised Jey Uso for attracting more crowds. He also praised Philadelphia for the love they have for professional wrestling.
The City of Chicago will be annoyed by how much he loves Philadelphia and how they hosted the greatest WrestleMania week and accepted CM Punk. Punk thanked Philadelphia on behalf of Jey Uso, everyone backstage, everyone in front of camera, holding camera and who made the show successful for having a great week. Punk said that they were gonna give away the signed boots and also said that next time WWE is in Philadelphia, he is going to have his boots on.
CM Punk dropped the microphone, signed Jey Uso’s boots and both threw it on the WWE Universe as a giveaway.
