[Watch] Cody Rhodes reveals his custom Weight Belt for WWE WrestleMania 40 Night 1

Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest baby faces in the WWE active roster, since his return to WWE in 2022. Ever since his return to WWE, he has been after one and only one goal ‘finishing his story’ by dethroning Roman Reigns and becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Cody got a shot at WrestleMania 39 after winning the 2023 Royal Rumble but came short after The Bloodline involvement. Cody Rhodes hasn’t received the rematch for the title then and went too far away from getting the title match.

Cody, after a long wait, tried his best to win the Royal Rumble match back to back. Cody initially regretted challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 to sacrifice his spot for The Rock. However, Cody identified his spot being taken off and finally reversed his decision to challenge Roman for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40 Main Event.

The build for the storyline made The Rock turn heel, by slapping Cody & aligning himself with Roman Reigns. On the other hand Seth Rollins got aligned with Cody Rhodes.

The Rock went on to challenge Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins for a Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 40 Night 1, with a stipulation that if Cody & Seth wins the tag team match, Cody’s championship match against Roman Reigns at Night 2 will be free from The Bloodline, as no one from the Bloodline, including Paul Heyman will not be on the ringside during the match.

If The Rock & Roman Reigns won the match, it would be a Bloodline Rules match at Night 2 involving all the members of Bloodline, who will set the laws for the match. Ahead of their match Cody introduced a custom made weight belt for his WrestleMania 40 match.

Cody Rhodes’ custom made Weight Belt

Cody Rhodes on his Instagram story revealed a custom made weight belt. The weight belt is designed representing their team, saying “Freakin Nightmare” in the middle with WrestleMania 40 logo on either sides of the writing. On both ends, “Half American Nightmare” Logo & “half-SR” Logo are printed. Cody Rhodes thanked Aesthreadics for the belt made exclusive for WrestleMania Night 1 Main Event.

Weight belts played a major role in their rivalry, especially after The Rock involved Cody’s mom, “Moma Rhodes” and introducing a weight belt saying that Cody would only have this weight belt home filled with his blood and her tears. Rock stood by his promise prior to WrestleMania, by brutally assaulting Cody Rhodes two weeks before WrestleMania 40.

Rock then took the weight belt custom made with the name “Moma Rhodes” and filled it with Cody’s blood. On the recent episode of Raw, Rock again brought another weight belt, but this time the “Blue American Nightmare” belt to punish Rollins & Rhodes.
