Backlash 2024 will be the first-ever WWE pay-per-view in France

WWE is all set to host the 2024 Backlash pay-per-view on May 4, 2024 from the LDLC Arena in Decines-Charpieu in Lyon Metropolis, France. This is the first-ever pay-per-view in France and the first-ever Backlash to be held outside North America. As we are just hours away from hosting the pay-per-view, the first look of the WWE Backlash 2024 stage setup at the LDLC Arena has been leaked. Here we take a deeper look at the stage being set up, based on the leaked content.

A video of the LDLC Arena, where the WWE is hosting the Backlash PPV has been leaked, where the stage set up is half way through. The arena seems quite unique from the other arenas. The stage setup is narrow and small, however it seems to be quite unique compared to other arenas. The closed arena seems to be a basketball court with a shining ground surface.

It seems like the arena could only hold around 12,000 to 15,000 fans. WrestleTix however revealed that the setup is made for around 12,977 fans. The stage set up is not complete yet, it will be interesting to see how the final look of the arena will be.

The current theme on the LED’s at the arena is set for this week’s episode of SmackDown as the show will be held one day before the PPV in the same arena. Before Backlash, we could get a clear picture of the venue at SmackDown, when it aired live from the LDLC Arena hours after.

• Undisputed WWE Championship match- Cody Rhodes (C) vs AJ Styles
• World Heavyweight Championship match- Damian Priest (C) vs Jey Uso
• WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat match- Bayley (C) vs Tiffany Stratton vs Naomi
• WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship- The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair
• Randy Orton & Kevin Owens vs The Bloodline

WWE has also booked a number of matches and segments for Friday Night SmackDown from the same arena including Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles face off, First ever RKO Show, WWE Tag Team Championship match and a tag team match between New Catch Republic & Authors of Pain.
