Top five ways WWE could bring back Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar could make his WWE return soon
In the latest episode of RAW, WWE dropped subtle hints that they might be bringing “The Beast Incarnate,” Brock Lesnar, back to the WWE again. He was originally scheduled to return for the 2024 Royal Rumble and likely feature in a program with Gunther at WrestleMania 40.
However, those plans couldn’t proceed due to Brock’s rumored involvement in Vince McMahon’s sexual misconduct lawsuit.
Ever since then, Brock Lesnar was neither featured nor mentioned in WWE programming until last week, when both Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes made references to “slaying the beast” in the past.
This seems more than just a coincidence, especially with Crown Jewel scheduled as the next premium live event, and the Royal Rumble approaching in February.
If WWE is genuinely looking to bring Brock Lesnar back, it would be a significant draw for casual viewers, especially with WWE moving to Netflix. Let us explore five possible ways that WWE can effectively book his return:
A Return at the Rumble
WWE might choose to save a surprise as big as Brock Lesnar’s return for the Royal Rumble. This year’s Rumble is set to be John Cena’s last, and there is a good chance that The Rock may enter as well. With such star power already in the ring, WWE could add Lesnar to the mix.
Once Lesnar enters the Rumble, they can easily build a storyline for his next rivalry by either having him eliminate a significant opponent or being eliminated by one. Bron Breakker could be a perfect candidate for this storyline.
Attack Gunther at RAW’s Netflix premiere
If WWE is looking to set up a match between Gunther and Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania, they may refrain from executing this plan too quickly. However, with the high-profile debut of RAW on Netflix, WWE will likely want to make that episode memorable.
Brock could either appear during Gunther’s world heavyweight championship title defense or while he cuts one of his arrogant heel promos during the night. A brief segment could follow which concludes with Brock dropping Gunther with an F-5 setting the stage for their WrestleMania encounter.
Attack Gunther after his match at Crown Jewel
WWE earns significant revenue from shows in Saudi Arabia, and many fans there are casual viewers eager to see the biggest stars compete. That was the sole reason we got the abomination that was Goldberg vs The Undertaker. Luckily for us, we aren’t getting those matches anymore.
We are still getting a modern-day dream match, however, between Cody Rhodes and Gunther. And since Brock Lesnar is a massive name, showing up unexpectedly at Crown Jewel would elicit a huge pop from the crowd.
WWE may decide to have Lesnar attack Gunther after his match with Cody Rhodes at the event, setting up a WrestleMania storyline between the two.
Defeat Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship at RAW’s Netflix premiere
This scenario is quite ambitious, but hear me out. Since Jey Uso is soon set to move to the blue brand in order to participate in the bloodline civil war saga it is extremely likely that he will lose the Intercontinental Championship soon. In fact, he may lose it against Bron Breakker in his next title defense at RAW or Crown Jewel itself.
If Breakker after winning the championship once again stays as the champ until the Netflix premiere and issues an open challenge on the night, Lesnar could answer it and defeat him for the title. Lesnar could then hold onto the championship until WrestleMania, where Breakker might reclaim it from him.
Bronson Reed might be on Brock’s radar
WWE has been investing considerable television time in Bronson Reed, aiming to elevate him into a main-event player. After an entertaining rivalry with Braun Strowman, his next storyline is against Seth Rollins. If WWE surprises audiences by having Reed defeat Rollins, an intriguing story could unfold.
Despite this victory, Reed might remain without a match at WrestleMania while his counterpart Seth Rollins is booked to face CM Punk in the event. This might lead to a frustrated Reed causing chaos in the RAW locker room once again.
This turmoil could result in Adam Pearce booking Reed against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 41. This matchup would allow Reed to shine, even in defeat.
