What did Veer Mahaan & Sanga do before they signed with WWE?

Indus Sher is a semi-popular Tag Team consisting of two Indian professional wrestlers, Veer Mahan and Sanga. They joined WWE in 2018 and spent majority of their time in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. They also have a brief run in the main roster on the Raw brand involving in tag team matches and were managed by Jinder Mahal.
WWE has now officially released Indus Sher from the contract after 6 years into the company. As they got released, here we take a look at what Veer Mahan & Sanga were doing before joining WWE.
Veer Mahaan
Rinku Singh is an Indian Professional Wrestler, best known for his time in WWE as Veer Mahaan. Rinku is from Uttar Pradesh, India who was born and brought up in a poor family. He was one of nine siblings, who were brought up in a single-room house. Singh was an athlete who played javelin and cricket during his younger age.
In 2008, Rinku participated in ‘The Million Dollar Arm’, which is an Indian reality television show which hosts baseball contests. Until he steps up to participate, he hasn’t heard about the Baseball in his life. However, Rinku somehow managed to win the contest and was awarded with a grand prize of $100,000 USD.
He then travelled to Los Angeles, United States and trained with the University of Southern California. Rinky became a part of one of the biggest Major League Baseball teams, Pittsburgh Pirates and became the first Indian citizen to appear in professional baseball in the U.S. He went on to free agency in November 2016 and switched his career to professional wrestling in 2018, signing a contract with WWE.
Sanga
Saurav Gurjar is an Indian professional wrestler and actor, who is better known for his time in WWE as Sanga. Saurav was born in Dabra, Madhya Pradesh and is a former National Kickboxing Gold Medalist. He was featured in films and television shows, most notably in the movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva as Zor and in Mahabharat as Bhim.
Before signing with WWE, he made his wrestling debut in TNA’s Ring Ka King under the ring name ‘Deadly Danda’. He made his WWE debut in 2018 on the NXT brand along with Rinku Singh under the team name Indus Sher.
