Cody Rhodes & John Cena engaged in a fiery promo on this week’s episode
For the first time since turning heel at the Elimination Chamber PLE, John Cena made his return in front of a hostile crowd at the Forest National Arena in Brussels, Belgium. The crowd was furious over the heel turn and they made sure that Cena knew about it.
The reaction John Cena got in Brussels was nothing sort of iconic as the crowd roared and chanted drowning Cena in boos, “f**k you Cena”, shut the f**k up” “You sold out!” “Cena’s a f**k*ng b**ch”, and the iconic “Let’s go Cena!, Cena Sucks!”
Cena too fired back at the crowd blasting them for mistreating him for 25 years, making him a puppet, and claiming that he had been a victim of an abusive relationship. Cena clarified that he was not a babyface and neither a heel; he was a human being.
Much to the crowd’s relief the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes heard their call and made his entrance, clapping back at Cena for being ungrateful and stating that he should find ‘John Cena’ because he wanted to wrestle him, not ‘this whiny b*tch.’
The two stars will continue to build on their feud next week as they head into WrestleMania 41
During the 03/17 show of WWE Raw, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for next week’s show which is set to emanate from the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. What caught fans’ attention was the announcement that both John Cena and Cody Rhodes will be live next week.
This announcement left fans wondering about what would happen when the two stars come face-to-face again, after all, they didn’t start a brawl nor even a single slap was thrown. Cena and Rhodes only engaged in a war of words.
While Cena appeared angry and frustrated by the fans’ reaction and didn’t have much to say when Rhodes arrived, things might be different next week. We can expect Cena to lash out at the champion, provoking him. There’s even a chance Rhodes might slap Cena, or a full-blown brawl could erupt between the two.
On this week’s show, fans only saw ‘heel’ John Cena on the mic. However, next week, we might witness the true side of ‘heel’ Cena as he might turn violent and ambush Rhodes to punish him for calling him a “whiny bitch”.
The return of The Rock could also be a possibility, as Cena might have a backup plan ready if things go wrong. This adds to the excitement for fans, as more speculation only builds more hype. With their clash at WrestleMania 41 on the horizon, another promo featuring two of the biggest stars in WWE is sure to generate a lot of buzz.
How excited are you for the next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw? Will the segment end in chaos or will the two stars keep things cordial? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
