Cody Rhodes & Solo Sikoa reinstated the rivalry between themselves at the Clash at the Castle PLE. The feud carried into a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank, where Solo Sikoa pinned Cody Rhodes to secure the win for the Bloodline. After pinning the champion, Solo challenged Cody Rhodes to a singles match at SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Ahead of their match, they had their final confrontation on the August 2, 2024 episode of SmackDown, where Solo Sikoa challenged Cody Rhodes for a Bloodline rules match and Cody without any hesitation offered him what he wanted. Since the stipulations are laid for SummerSlam, here we take a look at what is the Bloodline rules match.

What is a Bloodline Rules Match?

The Bloodline rules match is a special stipulation match, where the match rules will be laid down by The Bloodline themselves. The match is similar to a street fight or a no-hold-barred match, where anything and everything is legal, which mostly favors The Bloodline. Any number of foreign objects can be used as a weapon, the outside interferences are legal and The Bloodline can take full advantage of the rules.

Early this year, WWE hosted the first ever Bloodline rules match at WrestleMania 40 in the Night 2 main event between Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Where there were no rules and regulations and the only way to win was either pinfall or submission inside the ring. The match featured several outside interferences and involved some brutal weapons.

At SummerSlam 2024, Cody Rhodes will again be competing in the Bloodline Rules match, but this time as the defending champion against the new Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa. Cody Rhodes already competed in the Bloodline rules match and Solo Sikoa played a major role in the match, however, no other Bloodline members has experience with this match stipulations yet.
