Damian Priest & Drew McIntyre have been in a heated rivalry
With only a few days till WrestleMania 41, WWE has unveiled a fresh new match. The suspense has been building since last year, when Damian Priest paid in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Drew McIntyre for the World Championship at WrestleMania 40. However, the Scottish Warrior quickly moved on from his fight with Priest, entering into a nearly year-long feud with CM Punk.
Now, as WrestleMania 41 approaches, McIntyre has renewed his feud with the former Judgment Day member. The two have been feuding since the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber 2025, and now they finally have a match.
While Drew McIntyre versus Damian Priest was confirmed prior to the April 11th episode of SmackDown, a new condition for the match was revealed during the show. A “Sin City Street Fight” bout between the two was mentioned in a brief promotional film shown during the broadcast.
Priest and McIntyre showed off a sophisticated costume for a routine street brawl battle on SmackDown. Prior to the attack, McIntyre disclosed that his eye was alright, and although he was clear, Priest was completely wrecked.
When fans heard these, Priest walked out. Both guys faced one another and began striking one another on the head with stairs, dumping them on their opponents, and so on. ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ ended the segment by dumping Priest with the ‘Future Shock DDT’ on the steel steps. McIntyre grabbed Priest’s necklace as he gazed down at his WrestleMania opponent.
What is a ‘Sin City Street Fight’?
A Street Fight is currently identical to No DQ and all of the other varieties. It requires more components. No pinfalls. That is how you differentiate it. Think about it. Nobody’s going to pin you down if you get into a fight on the street, right? They win in two ways: knockout or submission.
You either defeat your opponent to the point that the referee terminates the bout, or you convince them to resign or pass out. There are no roll-ups, sunset flip pinfall combos, or anything of that nature.
Also, because this is a “street” battle that obviously does not take place on a street, you may use Falls Count Anywhere rules, which state that the knockout or submission does not have to take place inside the ring. You may knock your opponent out in ringside, backstage, in the audience, or wherever.
Some may argue that the name Street Fight implies that individuals should dress regularly but we don’t believe this is necessary. Ideally, you could, but we believe using the ring gear associated with specific characters isn’t a terrible idea.
