The two former Bloodline members are set to collide in a steel cage!

Following their fallout at Money in the Bank 2025, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa collided at Night of Champions 2025, where Fatu’s United States title was on the line. However, outside interference from JC Mateo, a returning Tonga Loa, and a debuting Talla Tonga aided Solo.

Sikoa was able to pin Fatu and capture his first singles title in the WWE. Despite the numbers game against him, Fatu has refused to back down and is now set to battle Sikoa in a rematch, a chance to reclaim the US titles.

The two stars will battle inside a steel cage match at the 2025 edition of SummerSlam. The steel cage will likely aid Fatu in keeping Sikoa’s MFT away to make sure he’s battling Sikoa in a one-on-one clash.

Steel Cage match rules

A Steel Cage match involves two or more opponents battling it out inside a cage made of metal mesh, surrounding or attached to the edges of the squared circle. Typically, this bout can be won in a variety of ways, including pinfall, submission, or escape from the cage.

For an escape to be declared genuine, both feet of the athlete must be on the floor outside the ring. A referee can open the door at a wrestler’s request, but it will be closed again if the wrestler is unable to leave. Occasionally, a steel cage match can also be won by pinfall or submission.

Because this match takes place within a cage, count-outs are not applicable. Disqualifications are also not in place; therefore, wrestlers can use the cage as a weapon, do illegal maneuvers, and employ foreign items (frequently brought in by an ally outside the cage). Even with the cage present, external influence is possible.

When did the last Steel Cage match take place in WWE?

The last steel cage match in the WWE took place during the May 24, 2025, edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which aired live from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest clashed in the steel cage match at SNME, both looking to put an end to this feud. In the end, Damian picked up the win by walking out of the steel cage after hitting McIntyre with the devastating Con Chair To.
