Dominik Mysterio is our current WWE Intercontinental Champion
The latest episode of WWE RAW ended in pure chaos, with Seth Rollins earning a spot in the 2025 Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the expense of Finn Balor.
The match’s conclusion was marred by miscommunication within The Judgment Day, as Dominik Mysterio’s attempt to assist backfired in dramatic fashion.
While Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker were handling business with Jey Uso outside the ring, “Dirty” Dom slid a steel chair into the ring for Balor. Unfortunately for the former Universal Champion, the chair was out of reach. Before Finn could grab it, Rollins capitalized and delivered a brutal Stomp, smashing Balor’s face into the steel for the win.
Dominik’s blunder may have deeper implications beyond just a lost match. Here are three possible consequences for the young Mysterio following his costly mistake:
3. Finn Balor can damage things between Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio
With Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio growing closer on-screen, Finn Balor may look to exploit that relationship.
After yet another frustrating loss, Balor could begin to manipulate Liv, planting seeds of doubt about Dominik’s loyalty. He might even suggest that Dom has eyes for Roxanne Perez, who was recently brought into the mix to assist Morgan.
Such a scheme would not only divide Dominik and Liv but could also refocus the spotlight onto Balor, allowing him to climb back into contention while his teammates crumble under emotional pressure.
2. Finn Balor walks away from The Judgment Day
Balor has been the backbone of The Judgment Day for nearly two years, but repeated misfires from his faction mates, especially Dom, may finally push him over the edge. After this latest setback, we could see Balor officially call it quits and leave the group behind.
Frustrated by doing all the heavy lifting with nothing to show for it, Finn might decide it’s time to go solo and remind the world why he was the first-ever Universal Champion.
1. Finn Balor could sabotage Dom’s Intercontinental Title reign
Dominik Mysterio shocked the world when he pinned Balor at WrestleMania 41 to become Intercontinental Champion. But now, with the Judgment Day crumbling, Balor may be out for revenge.
The next time Dominik defends his title, Finn could show up at the worst moment possible, costing him the match and leaving “Dirty” Dom without gold. It would be a full-circle moment and set the stage for a long-awaited feud between the student and the mentor, with deep Judgment Day history fueling the fire.
