Seth Rollins can no longer challenge Damian Priest for the world title
Seth Rollins recently made his return from injury and challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank 2024. They mutually agreed to a stipulation that if Rollins loses he will no longer challenge for the title, until Priest’s current reign; on the other hand if Priest loses, he needs to leave the Judgment Day.
As there were huge stakes, Rollins lost the match by Drew’s cash-in and Punk’s interference. At this stage, we take a look at some of the possible things on what’s next for Seth Rollins.
4. Wait until Damian Priest to lose the title
Seth Rollins can’t challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship again, as they mutually agree not to challenge for the title, until Priest drops it. However, Punk could wait until he loses it in the upcoming events. Priest will be challenging Gunther at SummerSlam 2024, which is less than one month away. Seth can ensure Priest loses the title, so that he can get another title shot in the future.
3. Feud with Judgment Day
Seth Rollins can enter into a feud with Judgment Day, as Finn Balor confronted & attacked him at the Money in the Bank go-home episode of Raw. Rollins can find a partner, most probably Jey Uso and try to take the World Tag Team titles from The Judgment Day. Rollins has never held a tag team title for a long time, and this could keep him in the championship spotlight until he gets another shot for the world title.
2. Intercontinental Championship
As Seth can no longer challenge for the world title, the next big title in the Raw roster is the Intercontinental Championship. Rollins could get in the IC title mix, as there are a number of potential challengers for the title. However, Rollins can get a quick title shot, as Sami Zayn is always up for a new competition. The Visionary could elevate Sami’s reign and the title picture to boost the mid-card.
1. Feud with CM Punk & Drew McIntyre
Seth Rollins, CM Punk & Drew McIntyre are three of the better egos and great rivals. They teased of a triangular feud earlier this year, however the injuries played it out. At Money in the bank, Punk interfered during the world championship match and cost both McIntyre & Rollins title opportunities. Rollins then had a deep stare down and was so close from striking Punk. As the rivalry teased Rollins’ involvement, this could turn out into a trio-rivalry and in a potential triple threat match at SummerSlam 2024.
