In the final moment of WWE Clash in Paris 2025, a shocking twist occurred when Women’s IC Champion Becky Lynch low-blowed CM Punk, helping her husband, Seth Rollins, retain the World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal four-way match.

Multiple reports have confirmed her return following CM Punk’s comments

Lynch doubled down on the fallout show of Raw, interrupting Punk, who called out Seth Rollins. Lynch not only humiliated Punk on the mic with Rollins teasing him even further before escaping, but Lynch also slapped Punk.

An irate Punk warned her on live TV: “You’re gonna regret putting your hands on me.” With tempers flaring, the WWE Universe is now buzzing with speculation of Lee’s return. Multiple reports noted that there have been talks of her return, fueling the speculation even more.

Bryan Alvarez has now openly stated that AJ Lee is making her return to WWE, and she will join forces with her husband, CM Punk, to face Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.

Additionally, Punk has also confirmed that he will make an appearance on this week’s SmackDown, which is notably in his hometown of Chicago. This alone has led many fans to believe that Lee will make her return similar to Punk in Chicago this week. AJ Lee last competed in a tag team match on WWE Raw

Lee has not been seen in the WWE ring since her departure in 2015. Lee announced her retirement from the WWE due to a cervical spine injury. The record-tying three-time Divas Champion has not competed in any wrestling matches since then and has been busy writing her own comic book series and other ventures.

Lee’s last in-ring match in WWE is also her last pro-wrestling match until now. In her last WWE match, Lee teamed up with Naomi and Paige (Saraya) to battle a team of Natalya, The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella).

The six-woman tag team match took place on the 30 March 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw, which emanated from the SAP Center in San Jose, California, USA. The team of Lee, Naomi, and Paige emerged victorious in the aforementioned clash.
