Drew McIntyre has been absent from WWE since Bad Blood 2024
WWE star Drew McIntyre has been very active in recent storylines due to his feud with CM Punk. The rivalry was one of the most compelling angles WWE has put together in recent times.
The feud concluded with a Hell in a Cell fight between the two stars. McIntyre suffered defeat at the hands of CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood 2024. WWE Bad Blood 2024 was held in Atlanta, Georgia on October 5.
This was the third fight in their recent feud with both fighters giving their best inside the ring. Initially, McIntyre dominated the fight gaining an edge against Punk. However, McIntyre let his emotions get the best of him which led Punk to gain an edge in the match.
The gruesome fight turned red as McIntyre was busted open during the fight after Punk hit him in the head with a toolbox. Punk then went on to secure the win by delivering his finishing GTS move. Punk himself collapsed on the mat due to exhaustion after the brutal fight.
He had to get a total of 16 staples to his head to close the nasty wound. Following his loss in the trilogy fight at Bad Blood PLE, McIntyre is currently on a brief break from in-ring action.
WWE may have spoiled the return date of Drew McIntyre
Amid speculations of ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre’s return it seems as if the WWE has spoiled the return date. His return would be a huge deal for the WWE given his star power and would create a lot of buzz among WWE fans.
WWE is currently advertising six major names for the October 21 show of RAW. The list includes WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, and Drew McIntyre.
This episode of RAW is scheduled to take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The promotion material consisting of The Scottish Psychopath is usually a clear indication of his return.
The fans might get a chance to see McIntyre back in action on the October 21 show of RAW according to WWE’s promotional material.
If McIntyre does return to action it would be interesting to see what storylines the WWE puts him in. What in your opinion should McIntyre do after his return from injury? Let us know your opinions in the comment sections down below.
