When is WWE Draft 2025? Latest report reveals likely date

The WWE Draft normally takes place every year
The WWE Draft, originally scheduled for after WrestleMania 40 in 2024, took place more than a year ago. A year later, the corporation has yet to announce the official date for the draft, but speculation has already begun about when it will take place.
According to BodySlam.net, the WWE Draft 2025 will not take place soon, with an official date of over three months away.
WWE Draft 2025 to take place after SummerSlam
According to the source, the WWE Draft will take place after SummerSlam, which will stream live from New Jersey on August 2 and 3, making it the first time that The Biggest Event of the Summer will be a two-day event, similar to WrestleMania.
This suggests it could be planned after Clash in Paris, which will be broadcast from the French capital on Sunday, August 31.
WWE will be in Paris for the premium live event and Monday Night RAW on September 1st, which might be a potential date for the 2025 WWE draft. Moving ahead, and leading up to SummerSlam, WWE may provide further information about the official date of the Draft.
The organisation had set its draft for late April in both 2023 and 2024, but things have changed since then, courtesy of WWE’s ‘Transfer Window’, which was introduced a few months ago.
This decision by the company allowed the respective General Managers of RAW, SmackDown, and NXT to make moves and swap superstars between the brands.
It also allowed the business to promote NXT talents to the main roster, with former NXT Women’s Champions Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and Roxanne Perez joining RAW and SmackDown, respectively.
Big names expected to stay on RAW
It will be fascinating to see what the intentions are for the draft and who will go from RAW to SmackDown, and vice versa. Given the arrangement with Netflix, key stars such as CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Rhea Ripley are expected to stay with the red brand even after the draft and not migrate to another program.
Even if that does happen, there will be stories that include them appearing on both brands, like Cody Rhodes and Reigns have. John Cena will also continue to work on both shows until his official retirement in mid-December.
