King and Queen of the Ring PLE is going international
We’re getting closer to the WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE, and here is all the watch information you’ll need. WWE expanded its international reach last month by bringing Backlash PLE to Décines-Charpieu, France.
The organization is now returning to the ocean, this time for The King and Queen of the Ring (KAQOTR) event, which will take place at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia. The PLE takes place on Saturday, May 25, and for Americans, it will air in the morning and afternoon–a pretty convenient time to watch a major WWE event.
What’s particularly exciting about this next PLE is that it includes women in the titles of The King and Queen of the Ring. It also marks the event’s comeback as a solo PLE. The last time WWE staged a King of the Ring (KOTR) as its own branded event was in 2015 when it aired as a WWE Network special featuring only three matches. Other KOTR events were either shown on WWE television or included in other PLEs, like the 2021 KOTR event during that year’s Crown Jewel show.
This year’s event will include two matches in which the Raw and Smackdown bracket winners will compete for the titles of King and Queen of the Ring, respectively. The card will also include a few extra bouts, including championship defenses. The PLE currently has five scheduled matches.
WWE King and Queen of the Ring: Match card
- Cody Rhodes (Undisputed WWE Champion) vs. Logan Paul (WWE United States Champion)
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan – for the Women’s World Championship
- Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bronson Reed vs. Chad Gable – for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Raw Semifinal Winner vs. SmackDown Semifinal Winner – King of the Ring 2024 Finals
- Raw Semifinal Winner vs. SmackDown Semifinal Winner – Queen of the Ring 2024 Finals
When is the King and Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE?
Because WWE is going international, fans in the United States will get another early viewing opportunity. WWE King & Queen of the Ring will take place on May 25th, at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock. There will be a countdown show at noon ET, and Sports Illustrated’s MMA Knockout will post the feed before it airs. WWE travels to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for the King and Queen of the Ring.
